    • 78' Smith comes down to touchline as he heads for the final 10 minutes of the match and his final home match as Rangers boss.
    • 77' Rangers going through the motions at the moment. They have done the hard bit in this match having got those two early goals. The home side can keep possession.

    • 72' Kenneth is not really at this level of class. Poor challenge again to concede cheaply as he hauls down Edu.
    • 71' Jelavic caught by Dixon late. Smith looking on with a concerned look. Don't know why. Rangers under little or no pressure from United.

    • 2' Fine tackle by Conway to win the ball from Naismith. Superb tackle in the box. Home fans getting involved early on.
    • 1' We are off and running in this one.
    • 19.40 Rangers manager Walter Smith is demanding a big performance for his side as they chase a third straight SPL title. "Dundee United have won here at Ibrox this season, so that's how difficult a game we will face. United played exceptionally well in the game we lost, although I would blame ourselves for the defeat as much as anything else."
    • 19.35 United manager Peter Houston admit his side are chasing three points at Ibrox to keep alive their hopes of pipping Hearts for third place. "In my time here we have never gone to Ibrox or Parkhead and sat in defending the 18-yard line — that is not what we do. We will go and attack," said Houston. "Third is still a long shot because Hearts are in the driving seat, but we will still be trying for it."
    • 19.30 Dundee United team news: Dundee United midfielder Danny Swanson is out of the match. Swanson has a tight hamstring and United manager Peter Houston had rated his chances as "50-50". Darren Dods is a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
    • 19.25 Rangers team news: Walter Smith names a largely unchanged side for the visit of Dundee United. The Scottish champions came through Saturday's 4-0 win over Hearts unscathed, meaning no fresh injury concerns ahead of the clash. Rangers were also boosted by the return of Lee McCulloch, who came off the bench to make his first appearance since early February.
    • 19.20 The referee for this evening's game is Calum Murray.
    • 19.15 Dundee United: Pernis, Watson, Kenneth, Severin, Dixon, Russell, Scott Robertson, Gomis, David Robertson, Conway, Goodwillie Subs: Banks, Dillon, Daly, Buaben, Douglas, Shala, Armstrong
    • 19.10 Teams: Rangers: McGregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Weir, Papac, Naismith, Davis, Edu, Wylde, Jelavic, Lafferty Subs: Alexander, McCulloch, Fleck, Foster, Healy, Diouf, Hutton
    • 19.05 This is Walter Smith's last match at Ibrox as Rangers manager. He will be one win away from the SPL title if his side can overcome Dundee United. A win would leave Rangers needing a win at Kilmarnock on Sunday, no matter Glasgow rivals Celtic do against Hearts and Motherwell in their closing league matches.
