    • Dundee United
    • - To add to the sending off that third Jelavic strike has been credited as an own goal by Kenneth but, all the same, Rangers will be grateful of the three points.
    • - Bit of an unsavoury end but Rangers will be happy with the three points. Stay here for the report.
    • - Wild, it appears, lashed out with a boot right next to the linesman.
    • 90+3 No more action here. The referee draws it to an end.
    • 90+2 Flood is hands on hips but Brian Winter yellow cards him. And Bartley is also in the book.
    • 90' Wild is off - must have been something off the ball.
    • 89' A slight melee at the end. Flood and Wild in amongst it and the referee calls them over.
    • 88' Rangers under no pressure here as the game comes to an end - this one may as well be brought to an end right now.
    • 87' That strike from Jelavic really has taken the sting out of United's play.
    • 85' That hat-trick pretty much seals the victory. Rangers were beginning to look nervy but it looks like they'll have a 12 point advantage with Motherwell facing Celtic tomorrow.
    • 82' GOOAL!! Papac switches the ball to Whittaker, who moves forward at pace before crossing for Jelavic who dives in to head in his hat-trick. 3-1.
    • 82' Dalla Valle for Russell. United go 4-4-2.
    • 81' Rangers - having looked comfortable - look a little raged now and with their composure lost they are working the ball into the corners to waste some time.
    • 80' Russell gets away from Bedoya and crosses for Daly but Goian manages to clear.
    • 78' As expected Dow for Mackay-Steven.
    • 76' Mackay-Steven looks tired here, just as the visitors need him at his tricky best. I wouldn't be surprised if he was replaced.
    • 75' Bedoya on for McKay.
    • - Great header back across the keeper there. Game on.
    • 73' Incredible. Kenneth with the ball in from the wide area, and Daly gets across his man to head past McGregor. Another great header. 2-1.
    • 71' His free-kick just dips the wrong side of the post - possibly a yard wide.
    • 69' Bartley collects the ball in the middle of the pitch before sauntering forward at pace, his progress is eventually brought to a premature end by a flailing United leg. Jelavic over the free-kick, 30 yards out.
    • 68' Rangers look very, very comfortable now. They are very composed. They don't commit too many men forward but still look a threat.
    • 66' Dundee United have a free-kick from midway inside their own half. They really need to push on if they are to make anything from this one.
    • 65' Rangers have only conceded two goals once this season - and that was in a 4-2 win against Celtic. That goal makes it a very difficult proposition for the visitors.
    • 63' Jelavic takes it and makes no mistake as he sends the keeper the wrong way. 2-0.
    • 63' Wild moves forward, cuts into the box and Dixon inexplicably goes to ground on Wild and the referee immediately points to the spot.
    • 62' Kenneth gallops forward but, with little on, he shoots from distance and it is close but hits the side-netting.
    • 61' Bartley, in space, shapes to shoot but his effort - which looked on target - hits his own man.
    • 60' Both sides have gone pretty direct thus far this half - it has done little for this one as a spectacle and clear-cut chances have been few and far between.
    • 60' Gunning sheppards out a pretty straight looking ball over the top as Wild attempts to get on to it. Easy for the defender.
    • 58' United are making some very questionable decisions when in promising positions. Rankin ignores a simple square pass and attempts to lift the ball over Wild, Wild easily intercepts and breaks but then over runs it for a goal kick.
    • 56' Mackay-Steven looks to lay it off to Rankin but the pass was under-hit and Edu intercepts and breaks. His ambitious through ball has too much on it.
    • 54' Rangers are beginning to look a little bit sloppy and another stray ball is capitalised on by the visitors. Mackay-Steven draws a free-kick from Whittaker just outside the right of centre.
    • 53' Rangers break at pace, but Gunning steps in to concede a throw.
    • 52' Mackay-Steven gives away a poor corner but the delivery from Wild isn't up to much either. United clear.
    • 51' Rangers looking very comfortable at the moment. Russell looks like he has been given permission to push on and support Daly. That should free up some space in the middle of the pitch which, in theory, should make it a more open game.
    • 50' The big defender is back on almost immediately.
    • 49' Goian is down injured. He leaves the field for a couple of minutes for treatment.
    • 48' Jelavic leads a break for the home side but he elects to find Mckay down the middle when the better ball was surely to Wild out wide in acres of space. Move breaks down.
    • 46' Dundee United get the second period underway. All the way back to Gunning and he looks for Daly on the right flank. Papac does well to head clear.
    • - Both sides are back out on the pitch and there have been no further changes at half-time.
    • 45+1 And that's it from a lively first-half from Ibrox.
    • 45' Rangers are doing very well to retain the ball as the half draws to a close.
    • 44' Jelavic heads Davis' cross well wide.
    • 43' Daly attempts a lay-off for Robertson but he doesn't get enough purchase on it and Rangers break with Davis, his ball for McKay is intercepted.
    • 42' Wild and Whittaker swap sides as the Terrors continue to get joy down that flank.
    • 41' Dixon takes on Whittaker, beats him and crosses for Daly but, under pressure from Papac, he can only head straight at the home keeper.
    • 39' Big roars as Brian Winter takes a pretty sizable drop.
    • 38' Dundee United win a corner but Goian heads clear. Mackay-Steven fires it in again but Goian clears to Jelavic, who finds Davis. Davis moves it to Whittaker but he takes a heavy touch. United move forward again.
    • 36' Flood, who been quiet thus far, looks to find Russell with the outside of his boot but the ball has too much on it and the visitors look deflated following that Jelavic header.
    • 34' Davis finds Whitakker but his long deep cross is poor and he turns away in disgust as the ball drops out for a goal-kick.
    • 32' Wild straight into the thick of things - his cross is slapped away from goal by Pernis.
    • 31' Rangers, having weathered an early storm from the visitors, are incredibly comfortable. So much so, they retained the ball with ease with only ten men while they waited for Wild to come on.
    • 30' Wallace looks a reluctant substitute but ultimately the club doctor pulled rank it appears.
    • 28' Wild on for Wallace who appears to have turned his knee.
    • 27' We have a short hiatus for an injury to Wallace. Didn't seem much in it there - he just appeared to go down having cleared a ball.
    • 25' Wallace finds Jelavic but Pernis makes a smart save. The ball was behind him but he manages to adjust but can't get the required power.
    • 24' Dixon and Mackay-Steven still making inroads down the left but Jon Daly is beginning to cut an isolated figure up top. He goes near post following another good move down the left but the ball goes far post and there is no one there.
    • 22' Bullet header from Jelavic there but he ghosted in between the defenders - and that is a poor goal to concede.
    • 21' That is somewhat of a sucker punch from Rangers. The visitors have just about shaded it thus far but that is what champions are made of.
    • 19' GOAL!! Edu switches from left to right for Whittakker, the ball is worked to McKay. He whips in a testing cross and Jelavic heads past Pernis to put the home side into the lead.
    • 18' Rangers - with Edu and Davis - are beginning to take charge of midfield here.
    • 16' Rangers coming into it now.
    • 15' Davis looks for Jelavic over the top but it has too much on it and runs through to Pernis, who collects.
    • 14' Mackay-Steven exchanges passes with Rankin before Goian eases him off the ball.
    • 13' Goian wins a free-kick inside the box with United pushing forward again.
    • 12' Jelavic just goes a split second too soon and is offside.
    • 11' Dundee United look to get forward at every available opportunity here. A very bright start. Robertson finds Russell, but his effort from 25 yards is disappointing. He should really have done a little better there - he was given time and space to set himself before shooting, but he sliced across the ball.
    • 9' Papac looks to find Wallace in behind but Watson stands his ground and manages to get a foot to it.
    • 8' Davis moves the ball to Goian, who finds Bartley. Wallace's cross is blocked and Mackay-Steven skips forward on the break. McGregor is quick off the line and clears for a throw.
    • 6' First chance for Dundee United. Russell gets a good ball in but Jon Daly loses his footing as he looks to volley on the penalty spot and a very presentable chance flies wide. They've been bright, the visitors.
    • 5' Mackay-Steven makes good headway down the left, he cuts this way and that before cutting the ball back from the by-line. Doesn't get much on it and Goian clears.
    • 4' Edu makes his 100th appearance for Rangers. He finds Bartley but the on-loan Arsenal player takes a heavy touch and hauls back Rankin. Free-kick near half-way.
    • 2' Bright early start from the visitors but Bocanegra comes across to clear an early ball forward for a throw.
    • 1' Brian Winter gets his fifth SPL game of the season undwerway.
    • - We're a couple of minutes away from kick-off at an expectant Ibrox.
    • 14:55 Rangers: McGregor, Whittaker, Goian, Bocanegra, Wallace, Bartley, Edu, Davis, McKay, Papac, Jelavic. Subs: Alexander, Broadfoot, Juanma Ortiz, Bedoya, Fleck, Wylde, Hemmings. /// Dundee Utd: Pernis, Watson, Kenneth, Gunning, Dixon, Flood, Robertson, Rankin, Mackay-Steven, Daly, Russell. Subs: Banks, Douglas, Armstrong, Dalla Valle, Allan, Dow, Barrett.
    • 14:50 For Houston, Gary Kenneth is fit again after missing last weekend's 4-1 win at Dunfermline with a knock but Sean Dillon (calf) remains out, while Danny Swanson (knee) and Scott Severin (broken leg) are also still absent.
    • 14:45 Rangers defender Kyle Bartley is back in contention after recovering from a hernia problem which has kept him out of action since August, but Lee McCulloch misses out with a calf injury. Steven Naismith is out for the rest of the season having injured his cruciate ligament in last weekend’s win against Aberdeen.
    • 14:40 In fact, there were rumours that defeat in last weekend’s fixture against Dunfermline would lead to the dismissal of Houston but his side prevailed 4-1 and come into the match with the SPL leaders with an unexpected air of confidence.
    • 14:35 However, the departure of Goodwillie, Craig Conway, Morgaro Gomis and Prince Buaben have contributed to a difficult start for United; while their hosts are unbeaten in 23 – and have only dropped four points from a possible 39 this term.
    • 14:30 Rangers' last SPL loss was when David Goodwillie scored a late winner in a 3-2 victory at Ibrox last April - a win that helped propel the Terrors to a fourth placed finish.
    • 14:25 Despite their tremendous start to the season, Ally McCoist will look to strengthen in January - especially after the loss of Steven Naismith. He said: "You obviously want to strengthen your squad. Naismith being out has given us a problem, because he could play in five or six positions. It gives us a headache from that point of view, but we will look at it in January if we need to strengthen."
    • 14:20 Peter Houston knows the size of the task facing his men: "It will be a mammoth task but we look forward to it, rather than fear it. Rangers are in a rich vein of form. I think the standards they've set this season and at the end of last season are an example to all clubs."
