    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.25 STAT ALERT: These teams have met 17 times with Germany leading 11-6 in wins and 33-24 in goals. There have been no draws (other than before extra time).
    • 19.20 A nice pre-match stat for you: Both Neid and Sundhage played when Germany beat Sweden 3-2 in the 1995 final in Kaiserslautern.
    • 19.15 Meanwhile, Germany coach Silvia Neid opted to play a few mind games. She said: "It's obvious that Sweden are favourites. They're the host nation with the support of the home crowd. They said before the tournament that they wanted to win it; we do as well but it's been difficult with so many injuries and an inexperienced team. You have one team with world-class players in every position and we don't have that. But in the end it doesn't matter – at the end nobody will be talking about favourites."
    • 19.10 Sweden coach Pia Sundhage reckons her side will need to hit peak form if they are to see off Germany tonight. She told reporters: "The way that we've utilised our speed on the flanks and up top has been pleasing, but at the same time it's extremely important to find our rhythm. Playing at a high tempo and getting the ball forward quickly will not be enough to get past Germany tomorrow, though. We need to be smarter than that."
    • 19.05 So how did these two sides reach the last four? Well, Sweden did it in style, sweeping Iceland aside by scoring three of their four goals in the opening 19 minutes. Germany, on the other hand, made harder work of it as they just about edged out Italy by a 1-0 scoreline.
