    Time:90'
    • Nigeria (W)
    • France (W)
    • 90+4 The refereee brings the game to a close and it is three points for the French who get off to a perfect start. It wasn't a classic but France certainly deserved the win in a game which they dominated
    • 90+3' France just seeing out the game now as Nigeria seem all out of ideas.
    • 90+1' The game heads into added time, of which there will be three minutes
    • 90' Necib hits the free-kick but it was always going over, not by that much, but Dede was never worried
    • 89' Tomic brought down 25 yards out and Necib is lining it up
    • 88' Time running out for Nigeria now as they still haven't really got a shot that has tested Sapowicz in
    • 87' France not afraid to still push for a second though as Le Sommer throws in a cross, but Dede takes it well
    • 86' Nigeria pushing now as Sapowicz forced to grab a ball that had been bobbling around her area dangerously
    • 85' Nkwocha the next to get a shot away, but it's blocked again, the French defending is proving to be resolute
    • 84' Sunday shrugs off a couple of challenges but can only muster a tame shot that is easily blocked
    • 83' Delie looked like she was in on goal for a moment but she was muscled off it and the danger is cleared
    • 82' Ukaonu's long throw causes a bit of bother in the French penalty box but no one can get a shot away, Mbachu eventually giving away a free-kick
    • 81' It's become fairly scrappy in midfield with both teams giving the ball away on a regular basis, the French maybe getting a little nervy
    • 80' Sapowicz claims a cross from the left, but hardly convincingly as it looked for a second like she was going to drop it into her own goal
    • 79' Orji now replaced by Sunday as she fails to make a recovery from her thigh injury
    • 78' Ohale returns to the action just in time to make an excellent tackle on Tomic as the winger burst into the penalty box
    • 77' The Nigerians currently down to nine with Ohale and Orji off the field injured and no substitute has been called on as yet
    • 75' A strong but unintentional collision between Delie and Ohale leaves the Nigerian on the turf and looking in some discomfort
    • 75' The corner is put behind by the defence and the second one is cleared comfortably
    • 74' Orji wins a corner against Lepailleur but then goes down with a muscular injury and looks in seriosu pain
    • 73' The French shot count is up at 14 now compared to the Nigerian's five, a sign of the dominance the Europeans have shown
    • 72' Necib miscontrols a throughball from Bompastor and it rolls through to Dede. Necib has certainly been quieter than in the first-half when she was comfortably the most dangerous player on the pitch
    • 71' Bassaglia isn't afraid to shoot from range, but her effort is closed down early and the threat is nullified
    • 70' The ball drops to Le Sommer after a cross from the right but her shot is well blocked, although the Frenchwoman claims it was by a hand
    • 69' Lepailleur is coming on to replace Renard who is struggling slightly with a dead leg
    • 68' Nigeria coming right back into this but it means they are open at the back as Thomis breaks again and gets in a cross but it's defended well
    • 67' Renard defending dangerously as she barges Orji out of the way and could easily have given a penalty away
    • 67' Oparanozie is replaced by Michael having failed to make an impact upfront by herself
    • 66' The first Nigerian chance for some time and it's a good one for Orji after some statuesque defending from the French saw the ball roll right across their area from the right. Orji put her strike high and wide though
    • 65' France pushing hard for a second as Le Sommer gets on the end of an early cross from Bassaglia but she can't make a proper contact and it flashes wide
    • 64' Thomis getting on the ball again and swings in an excellent cross which finds Delie. The goalscorer hits a volley on the turn but it's straight at Dede
    • 63' Thomis is looking dangerous on the right flank but she is eventually closed out by two defenders as she makes it into the box
    • 62' It's all France now as Nigeria can't get out of their own half and it seems a matter of time before the second goal comes
    • 61' Renard finds herself in behind the full-back and at the by-line. She pulls back an accurate ball to Abily twelve yards out but she leans back and her effort flies well over
    • 60' Necib looks for Thomis down the right but it's well defended by Ohale
    • 59' France now full of confidence as a result of the goal and are keeping possession comfortably
    • 58' Thiney replaced by Thomis as France look to push home their advantage
    • 57' GOAL FOR FRANCE!! Necib played in Le Sommer down the right and the substitute put in a low cross to the edge of the six-yard box, it evaded the defenders and eventually fell to Delie who took a touch and rifled it past the onrushing Dede to make it 1-0
    • 56' Dede finally claims a cross at the first time of asking as the dangerous looking Le Sommer puts in a delivery from the right
    • 55' Chikwelu plays a through ball looking for Oparanozie but Sapowicz is out quickly to quell the danger
    • 54' The free-kick is played short and completely wasted by the French
    • 53' Oparanozie breaks down the left but can't find the final ball and it is France's turn to break, Necib is brought down by Chikwelu and a free kick is given ten yards into the Nigerian half
    • 52' Orji again tries to get on the end of a cross from the right for Nigeria but misses her kick in what was a good chance. The game is becoming quite open now
    • 51' Necib turns up on the right and delivers a good cross, Dede again looked suspicious and drops the ball, but no one was there to capitalise
    • 50' Oparanozie seemed to have broken away but was penalised very harshly for something that the referee saw, there didn't seem to be much of a foul though
    • 49' Abily puts in a dangerous looking cross from the right but was a little too quick for her team mates as no one had arrived in the penalty box yet
    • 48' Very neat interplay from France in the middle of midfield trying to create space, but they are eventually closed down by the incredibly hard working Nigerian midfielders
    • 46' Orji with a great chance early in the second half for Nigeria as she very nearly gets on the end of a cross, but Renard manages to get her head there first at the same time as getting punched by her own goalkeeper
    • 45' French captain Soubeyrand is replace at half time by Eugenie Le Sommer in quite an adventurous move and France get the second forty five minutes underway
    • 45' There's the half-time whistle and it's goalless at the break. France have had the better of the first forty-five minutes but have not been able to make their dominance pay. Nigeria will believe that they can still pinch victory going into the second half.
    • 47 Nigeria win a corner in the last minute of the half taken by Mbachu, but Sapowicz gets a good fist to it and clears it
    • 46 Bompastor throws in another cross from deep but Delie is sfrustratingly standing offside
    • 45 Chikwelu looks in trouble as she goes down again and is helped off the field for treatment
    • 44 Soubeyrand puts in the corner and Dede deals with it so to speak as she palms it half away and it is then cleared
    • 44 Necib has a specualtive effort from 25 yards out and Dede spectacularly pushes it round the post
    • 43 Chikwelu struggling with an injury after a collision with Soubeyrand, but there was no foul
    • 42 The tandom threat of Bompastor and Necib look to link-up again, but the ball is slightly too long for Necib to reach and Dede claims it
    • 41 The French corner is aimed towards the goalkeeper again and Dede yet again misses it, but luckily for her so does everybody else
    • 40 Abily with a great chance to get a shot away or put in a cross but her touch was heavy and she is blocked off, they win a corner though
    • 39 Bussaglia commmits to a couple of strong challenges in the middle of the field and is penalised for the second, much to her frustration
    • 38 Necib flagged offside, but is unlucky to be so as she seemed comfortably on and would have been in on goal
    • 36 Chukwunonye is on to replace Ikidi for Nigeria, Ikidi was struggling with an injury, but it doesn't look too seriosu as she strolls off
    • 30 The second of the corners is defended much better but Nigeria get the ball back towards the French goal and Georges concedes another corner
    • 29 Nigeria win a corner which is swung in by Mbachu and it pinballs around in the French penalty area, eventually rolling out for another corner
    • 28 Necib and Bompastor link up again on the left and the full back gets in a very good cross which Abily meets on the volley, but the contact isn't clean and it's blocked comfortably
    • 27 A cross from the right nearly reaches Delie, but Ebi deals with the danger well in the air
    • 26 Desire Oparanozie breaks the offside trap and has the best chance of the game so far as she is one on one with Sapowicz in the French goal, her effort is tame and wayward though and ends up well wide
    • 25 A dangerous looking break from Nkwocha down the right is well dealt with by the experienced Bompastor who is contributing at both ends of the pitch
    • 24 The next corner is dealt with much better by the Nigerians and the ball is cleared
    • 23 Excellent persistance from Necib wins the French a corner which she takes herself, Dede spills the cross and it drops to Renard, but her effort is deflected over the bar
    • 22 Desire Oparanozie gets in a strike from long-range but it is well wide
    • 21 Bompastor mis-hits a cross but Dede takes two attempts to claim it keeping the strikers interested
    • 20 Nigeria win a free kick just inside the French half, but it's very well dealt with in France's penalty area as it's chipped in
    • 19 With those two efforts France have reaserted their dominance but their pressure, as yet, hasn't resulted in anything
    • 18 Frane hit the post from the resulting corner. A fairly poor delivery is flicked on expertly by Thiney and she is unfortunate to see her effort rebound off the upright
    • 17 A long range effort from Bussaglia is the first shot in anger from either side and it's a very good one, producing a fine save from Dede
    • 16 Louisa Nécib takes another corner for France, but it's far too long and the chance disapates
    • 15 Chances at a premium in the opening quarter of an hour with neither goalkeeper being called into action as yet
    • 14 A wayward cross from the Nigerian left had Mbachu chasing into the corner, but she just couldn't keep it in and it runs out for a goal kick
    • 13 The Nigerians haven't won a world cup game since 1999, can they buck the trend this afternoon?
    • 12 Necib is certainly the major threat for France as some more fancy footwork sees her beat her marker and burst into the box from the left, but she is eventually dispossessed
    • 10 The French are happy to play the ball along their back line, probing for an opening further forward, Bompastor at left back the one looking to create from the defence
    • 9 The Africans seem to have weathered the early storm and are venturing into the opposing half with increasing regularity
    • 8 A clear foul throw isn't picked up by the referee and Nigeria get away with it
    • 7 Necib is on the ball alot in the opening stages for France and looks a danger whenever she has it
    • 6 The first time Nigeria get foreward meaningfully is with Nkwocha who bursts into the penalty area from the right wing, but spends too long on the ball and is eventually dispossessed
    • 5 Nigeria struggling to get any kind of possession at all and are already getting pinned back in their own half
    • 4 Necib with the inswinging corner, but well dealt with at the near post
    • 3 The first corner of the match goes to the French after a long ball from left back creates a bit of confusion in the Nigerian defence
    • 2' France looking to get the ball down and dominate possession early on. A foul on Necib gave them a free-kick on the left flank which was swung in and narrowly missed in the middle
    • 1' Nigeria get the game underway in their white kit, France in their traditional blue
