    • - It's all over and Wales' World Cup campaign is over, but they can take heart from a spirited performance at the Millenium Stadium.
    • 90+3' Bystrov almost gets another right on the final whistle, but he pokes the effort over the bar.
    • 91' GOAL!! Right mix-up at the back from Wales allows Russia possession and Pavlyuchenko hammers it in left footed past Hennessey!
    • 89' Zyranov brings Ricketts down and the free kick comes in from the right - or is it? Ricketts booked for taking it too quickly! When it does come in to the box it's Collins who flicks it wide.
    • 87' CHANCE! Vokes wins a corner down the right again for Wales and Ledley heads towards goal from the set piece before shooting and the ball rebounds off Pavyluchenko's head!

    • 84' Kerzhakov departs for Rebko for Russia.

    • 81' Bystrov beats a couple of men and gets a good-looking cross in, but it evades all of his team-mates in the area.
    • 79' Good turn by Ramsey on the edge of the area, but he can't get the shot in and Russia get it clear.

    • 71' GOAL!! From that free kick Ignashevic simply blasts it right footed low and hard through the wall almost and no chance for Hennessey!
    • 70' Gabbidon concedes a free kick after using Kerzhakov as a climbing frame on the edge of the box!
    • 69' Pavlyuchenko is about to come on for Russia, as the visitors enjoy a few minutes of possession after all that pressure from Wales.
    • 67' Free kick is fired in by Ignashevic and that's cleared after hitting the wall. Well struck effort that one!
    • 65' This game has burst into life now and there's a few tasty challenges going in at the moment! From Russia strolling to victory, it's all up for grabs now!
    • 63' GREAT CHANCE FOR WALES AGAIN!! Bellamy involved again and that one has to be cleared off the line by Russia!! Edwards beats Aniukov in the box and the keeper half saves before it's hacked clear! ALL WALES RIGHT NOW!!
    • 60' ANOTHER CHANCE FOR WALES! Akinfeev looking dodgy on crosses and gets nowhere near that one! It drops to Ramsey, who fires it wide past plenty of bodies from inside the area!!
    • 60' Bellamy almost clean through there! A long ball comes in and Berezutski just pokes the ball clear with his toe-end!
    • 58' Wales have been boosted by the goal and they are playing with real passion at the moment. Gunter this time cuts in from the left and shoots over.
    • 56' Collins in the mix again, but the ref blows for a foul by the new Aston Villa man.
    • 55' Aniukov is booked for a cynical foul on Bellamy and Wales have a free kick.

    • 53' Toshack is preparing for Sam Vokes to come on by the looks of things, as Bellamy and Ledley almost combine again. Ledley's touch lets him down there.
    • 50' Good situation for Wales there. Ledley plays in Bellamy, who puts a great cross in from the left, but the ball goes in between Welsh attackers and is cleared.
    • 49' Stock, who has had a decent debut for Wales so far, is fouled and Wales get it forward, but the ball isn't sticking up front and Russia have it back.
    • 47' Zurianov gets things moving for Russia in their first attack of the half, but Wales have men behind the ball and get it clear.
    • 46' No changes at half time for either side and we're underway for the second half.
    • - The half time whistle goes and Russia overall deservedly leading 1-0, but Wales had their chances in the first 45 minutes. Back with more soon..
    • 43' BELLAMY WITH THE SHOT! He nips in down the right and when his cross is returned to him the skipper fires one in from a tight angle and it flies over!
    • 41' Hennessey has to be alert there to come out of his goal and clear the long ball.
    • 40' It's all Russia now and Bystrov goes clean through, but is incorrectly called back for offside! Bit of luck for Wales there, as Bystrov would have been in!
    • 38' More good play from Russia, who could have gone two goals up when that man Arshavin sets up Kerzhakov, who can't apply the finish from close range!
    • - You could say that the goal has been coming from Russia after a shaky start and that goal was all about Arshavin, who cut in from the right and played Semshov in with his left peg.
    • 36' GOAL!! Semshov opens the scoring!! Great ball from Arshavin and Semshov shows nice touch to poke it past Gabbidon and slide it into the corner!
    • 34' Wales switch their full backs around to the opposite flanks as they try to create some more chances here. They've had a few already and Collins now with the shot that goes wide.

    • 8' High tempo start from the hosts and they attack again down the right with Ricketts and that's another corner..
    • 6' SHOT BY STOCK.. and that takes a deflection and flies narrowly wide of Akinfeev's right hand post!! Great long range effort from the debut boy!
    • 5' It's played towards James Collins by Ramsey, but he has a better chance seconds later when he pops up at the far post. The header is straight at Akinfeev, but this is a good start for Wales!
    • 5' Promising move there from Wales down their left and they win the first corner of the game!
    • 3' Akinfeev gets barged there by Gunter after collecting an early cross and Russia get the free kick.
    • 2' Zyranov wins an early free kick down the left and Arshavin flicks on, but Wales get it clear up to Bellamy, who almost gets to the clearance. Akinfeev is out to boot it to safety.
    • 1' We're underway and it's Wales who kick off and they immediately give the ball away to Russia!
    • - Tonight's ref by the way is Manuel de Sousa of Portugal. The national anthems are underway and it must be noted that the Russian fans are in good voice already!
    • - The players have just emerged from the tunnel, led by respective captain's Bellamy and Arshavin, so kick off here in Cardiff is a matter of minutes away!
    • - And the full Russia line up is: - Akinfeev, Aniukov, Ignashevich, V, Berezutsky, Semshov, Arshavin, Semak, Yanbaev, Bystrov, Kerzhakov, Zyryanov. On the bench are: Gabulov, Rebko, A, Berezutsky, Dzagoev, Pavlyuchenko, Pogrebniak, Bilyaletdinov.
    • - On the bench tonight for Wales are: - Myhill, Eardley, Cotterill, Morgan, Evans, Vokes, and Earnshaw.
    • - As far as team news is concerned for the visitors... Andrey Arshavin DOES start tonight, with Spurs' Roman Pavlyuchenko dropped to the bench despite his brace on Saturday.
    • - So, John Toshack gives a debut to Doncaster's Brian Stock, who becomes the 37th new player to have been capped by Toshack in his 46 game stint in charge.
    • - Welcome to our LIVE coverage from the Millenium Stadium this evening! The team news is in and the Wales team tonight is: - Hennessey, Gunter, Williams, Collins, Gabbidon, Ricketts, Ledley, Edwards, Stock, Ramsey, Bellamy.
    • - RUSSIA TEAM NEWS: Andrei Arshavin wants to play but could incur the wrath of Arsene Wenger. It's Guus Hiddink's decision though, and he's sensible enough not to risk the little magician if he thinks it's dangerous.
    • - WALES TEAM NEWS: Craig Bellamy is back but Lewin Nyatanga is injured and Jack Collison and Simon Church highly unlikely to feature as both sadly have been attending the funerals of their dads this week. But James Collins, Sam Ricketts and Danny Gabbidon are all available after missing out against Azerbaijan. MORE ON THAT HERE!
    • - THE RAMIFICATIONS: Wales have to win this match and their last two, at Finland and Liechtenstein, and hope that also Russia lose all their remaining games. They also need to hope Finland somehow fail to beat Liechtenstein. Yeah, right. Russia, meanwhile, are only one point off group leaders Germany, who they face at home next month. Interesting - Guus Hiddink is SO good he could force the Germans into a play-off. Wow.
    • - Wales have barely any hope of qualifying for the World Cup but they face Russia, who can still win Group 4, in their qualifying clash in Cardiff from 7.45 UK time tonight!
