    Lack of flair

Their seems to be a complete lack of creativity in the current Chelsea team. We just do not have the ability to take teams apart like we used to.

A midfield (last night) consisting of Mikel, Mereiles and an ageing Lampard, with Kalou and Ramires as wide men, is not going to frighten many teams. It doesn't matter who plays up front (even Messi would struggle) they are not getting presented with many goal scoring chances.

Without Juan Mata playing we struggle to break teams down. Sadly the players we have on the bench do not offer much more.

As much as I hate Fergie, his policy of buying quality wingers has always paid off. How much more of a threat were we when we had Robben and Duff.

    • We certainly lost both Flairs that we use to have. Malouda & Kalou doesn't fit the bills.

Just hope & pray Chelsea Management team will realised that.

      We miss Robben a lot>

    • Spot on!

      No imagination, creativity or insiration.

Torres cut a lonely figure last night (as he has done for much of his time at Chelsea), starved of any service from the midfield. Kalou again appeared incapable of controlling the ball, let alone actually supplying an end product!

Meireles is a red card waiting to happen, bookies are no longer taking bets on if he will be booked during a game as it's a foregone conclusion. It was only a matter of time before yellow was waved in his direction last night, just unfortunation it just happened to come after a disgraceful dive from John Arne Riise!!!

Barcelona must be laughing all the way to the final as judging by our recent league performances, they have nothing to fear from this current Chelsea side.

      • I would like to see David Luiz play the holding midfield role if he is not required as a centre back. Whilst he still has a bit to learn defensively, he is comfortable on the ball, able to pick a pass and does have a good shot in his locker.

As we need to win games he has to be a better, more positive option that Jon Obi Mikel and until Michael Essien refinds some form.
