    The Incredible Hulk

Even though he has the physical attributes to succeed in the Prem, he has only played in Brazil, Japan, and Portugal. Does that justify the figures being bandied about in the press? Should the focus not be on the managerial appointment before bringing in all these high profile signings? Or does this mean that Di Matteo has already agreed to stay on in a coaching capacity and Roman himself will be the Director of Football in charge of player transfers? Full article below:

Chelsea will offer Porto striker Hulk a whopping £7million-a-year contract to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Representatives of Blues owner Roman Abramovich has agreed terms with the Brazilian’s management team on four-year deal that equated to about £135,000 a week, according to The Times.

The report claims that Chelsea are unwilling to pay more than £30million to secure the Brazil international’s services, but the Portuguese side are holding out for a fee in the region of £38million.

However, Hulk is reportedly prepared to hand in a transfer request in bid to force through the move, but Porto president Pinto da Costa is a famously stubborn character.

The Portuguese champions had initially refused to accept any offer less than the £80milion release clause in Hulk’s contract, but they have since resolved to settle for half of that.

According to the report, Abramovich is keen to make significant additions to the squad, despite not having a permanent manager installed, and is working with technical director Michael Emenalo to bring them in.

They have already sealed the £32million signing of Belgium playmaker Eden Hazard this week.

    Peace,
    Rob
