    City To Dominate Manchester 07/08...

All the signs are there, new proven and hungry manager, massive ambitions, brilliant signings and an investor without the massive debt.

Lets face it Man City are on the rise and perhaps their rise will see them climb above their neigbourhood rivals. They are in better financial shape than Utd and their new owner publicly said his aim was dominate the City of Manchester.

    Sounds like Fighting Talk

    Keep it Real...

    • The way I see it is this. 2 games played in Manchester this season, 6 points for Man City. On top of that Man City the first team to beat Utd at OT and break their unbeaten run.

Plus I truly believe that next year Man City will truly challenge for a top two finish. Their main problem this season has been injuries revealing a weak squad. Some new transfers this season and they will have similar strength squads with a better tactician at the head.

Perhaps this win at Utd will spark a new lease of life on away games from Man City who now have a real chance to finish 4th.

    • The point of this thread was to highlight the fact that City would become a real threat to Man Utd during the 07/08 campaign. Of course I never believed that they would overtake your lot straight away. Just remember my predictions were made in August before a ball was even kicked.

The views I had were slated with most United Fans predicting a relegation battle for the Manchester Blues, but it seems I have been proved right. And who knows, maybe next season will see the emergence of a new top team in Manchester!

      Be afraid.

    • West ham beat united twice last year just as city have done this year but what did it win west Ham or what will it win city?

    • I don't see what all the fuss is about. Look at the table, where are United compared to City. This is how it will always look every season, City beling below United. It does not matter City beat us twice this season, its what you do over a season. City thoroughly deserved their victory yesterday and the minute silence what terriffic. As for City dominating United don't think so.

    • i agree john that city are making better progress but i think what the wife meant was that last week we were held by a spurs side that have progressed since ramos took over and have reached a final, so have faced two sides on the up. on the city dominating united factor, if you lost say twice to west ham but finished higher than them, it dont mean they are the dominant force of london. city deserved there win and i make no excuses, but there 1st double since 74 hardly means they are now the dominant force. incidently mate i notice they have installed you as favourites now. do you think that will be a good thing or bad. personally i dont think it will have an affect as your lot have handled nearly everything thrown at them recently and are growing in stature, WORRYINGLY. lol

    • Lol john, I just read through some of the stuff these guys were saying! "City for relegation..."

I even predicted a double which has happened!

Good luck to Sven, we've got our six points so I can safely wish City the best of luck for the rest of the season. Hope they win the rest of their games!

      I hate to brag lol

      • roseanne city done the double over us but how can you say they dominate the city of manchester when we are 2nd and they are, i think 6th or 7th and many points behind us. yes they have bragging rights but ask sven and he will tell you they are still behind us in terms of success over a season, that may change as city moving in the right direction, as is spurs, but they are not the dominant force in manchester yet

    • ...you forgot to say FACT at the end of each line.

This could be such a good thread to keep going.

    • City aim at dominating Manchester
      United aim at dominating Europe

That is the difference between the two teams, CLASS

      Dream on Man Shitty

      C'MON UNITED !
