CFC v MUFC - unblinkered verdict for CL final

    Key Battles:

    Ballack v Hargreaves :
Ballack once again demonstrate to the English public why he is a big game winner, on top.

    Drogba v Rio & Vidic :
Drogba at his deadly best, a nightmare for both CB.

    Ronaldo v Carvalho & Terry :
Ronny goes missing yet again in the biggest game of his career so far, will show few glimpses of his talent but insufficient on the night to tip the scale in his side's favour.

    Rooney v Essien :
    Even money on both

    Tevez v Cole :
    Excellent containment job by Cole.

    RESULT :
Chelsea will make history as the 1st team in the capital to lift the big one, did what Arsenal failed to achieve, win the CL final in their first final appearance.

Gunners & Hammers gutted in each measure.

    • Cole "Money" plays with money, Tevez plays with HEART, Can money overcome heart? XD

Ballack should be versus Carrick, and Carrick can silence Ballack.

If defending very well at the back, Drogba will be reduced to a "mild elephant" XD

Don't have to worry about Ronaldo, if he can't score, Man Utd still have Rooney, Tevez, Heagreaves, Giggs, Scholes, Nani, Park, Carrick, Anderson...on and on, who can score, not to mention Ronaldo can open up and create opportunities for his teammates to score.

      Verdict:
Like Wes Brown said, it all goes down to excellent defending, ie, back 4+1 and the midfield. Then it takes someone excellent up front to finish the job. Who will be that excellent one? We will find out soon.

    • Perhaps a true unblinkered verdict would be better coming from a football fan who supports neither club, nor any club that plays in the Premiership.

I can only see a fantastic game played out by two great groups of players, great battles all over the pitch by players that are at the top of their game and careers.

Two incredible defences and midfields that are as good as any other in modern day football.

Some players will be stifled out, some will fail to live up to their billing, mainly because their apposing defences will be playing out of their skins.

Instead of all this rivalry that decends into juvenile name calling and insults both sets of fans should marvel at what will be a great advertisment for the best league in the world.

I don't personally have a view on who is likely to win on wednesday night, all I want to see (as a fan of good football) is a great match with lots of hard battles and some display of the great skills both teams possess.
