rooney dilemma. many Qs to be answered.

theres got to be an issue over whether rooney should play any more games for utd now that he wants out?

how well will he play knowing he is going?
how will the fans react to him on the pitch?

surely with your debts getting the max amount of money comes before squeezing some performances out of him?

abroad, only madrid would buy him which makes a £25m + benzema deal look the most likely.

over here chelsea dont spend that big anymore so it could only be city.
id expect them to bid around 30m in january & then the negotiations begin.

would u rather get the most amount of money possible & he goes to city or
sell him for a lot less but he goes abroad?

it doesn't seem to happen often but, as i mentioned, clubs are now wise to get the top players on long deals much earlier.

    • If that was at me, Kevin, yes that's true, but surely it must have happened a few times before.

He has said he wanted to go on aug 14th, and his form has been well below par, so that may be some way of gauging it, maybe his heart is not in it now, or has he made this the ultimate sacrifice to save his marriage.
if its the latter, then fair dos, to put his marriage first is not unforgiveable

On saturday, after albion equalised, the chants were of rooney, and to get him on the pitch, but i have a feeling that wont be the case next time he plays, if fergie decides to play him, its no secret the team are not performing, so why put in a player that wants to leave?
the club have to think of manchester united, not wayne rooney, and i think fergie has already started doing that by not picking the player.

im not bothered as to where he ends up, if he goes to city, good luck to him,

i agree with some abus as to when they say once united stop winning, they will jump elsewhere, especially people brought up in the 90,s where they only know success, and rooney going could be the end of our golden era,
but i will still support united through and through, regardless.

    • my sources tell me the rooney deal has already been done. his agent went to chelski first, who offered big money, he then went to man citeh with the chelsea offer and man city have blown them out of the water. he is going to man city and will pick up nearly 500k per week

    • because most clubs get their top players on a new contract before 18 months is left on their old contract.

    • If you had listened to the full conversation with Fergie you would know.
Anyway it doesn't matter when he leaves, its United's job to get at least 2 competing clubs to bid, probably right now if not before and sign a deal that comes into force either Jan or more likely July.
Hopefully they will be paralleling this deals to sign one or two players again either Jan or more likely July.
Just because the contract doesn't come into force until the transfer window, doesn't mean deals aren't done in the interim.
Can't say I am sorry to see the back of him, it allows the team to breath and develop.

    • He can go anywhere he wants for £5m.
