Manchester United Message Board
Ok feel free to ignore.
Basically, I have friends in Austria who are crazy about Utd and want to see a match ideally at OT or one of the London grounds, but anywhere would probably do.
The question is what is the easiest/cheapest way to get tickets. I assume Champions League and Carling Cup matches are the best route. Does one have to become a Utd member? (Arsenal have red members etc). Do any tickets go on general release?
Any help would be greatfully received. As a Londoner I think I would blend in well at Old Trafford!!! Cheers

manutd. com is usually where people go for ticket info but ok.
carling cup and cl group games are normally open general sale once the initial application for season ticket holders and members has passed.
prem matches are normally season ticket holders and members only as demand is normally higher than supply so it goes to a ballot.
the wolves cc game is at this time on general sale but upcoming prem game spurs is sold out and wolves in the prem is still being balloted.
ftr i applied for my wba tickets when the window opened on sept 4th, 6 weeks before the game, which is the norm with prem games.
and yes i got the 5 tickets i applied for as all 5 of us were members.
in other words its 1 ticket per member, a member can only purchase a ticket for a non member if the tickets are on general sale.
even if your not serious, this might help someone who would genuinely like to go to a match
