Lindegaard or Amos in goal. The rest of the defence is a tricky one especially as Smalling picked up a knock yesterday and along with Ferdinand may not be fit for utd`s away fixture against stoke this weekend. There are certainly a number of youngsters to pick from - Reece Brown, McGinty, Michael Keane, Thorpe, Massacci, Fornasier. In midfield hopefully we will see Pogba and I think SAF may use the game to give Park, Giggs and possibly Valencia a runout as well as providing some much needed experience. As for strikers although it would be nice to see someone like Will Keane other 1st team players like Owen and Macheda need game time.
Fabio, Jones, Evans, Brown, Fryers, M.Keane
Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Park, Valencia, Pogba, James, Thorpe
Berbatov, Owen, Macheda, Diouf, W.Keane
A little disappointed Petrucci isn't in that list. Take out McGinty from the team I picked earlier too then. I'd still go with what I picked earlier but with Fryers in place of McGinty, and James on the bench in place of Petrucci

Of the untried youngsters in defence I think Reece Brown is the one most likely to start simply because he`s been out on loan and from that point of view has the most experience. However, as I said before I can`t see SAF starting with Fabio, Jones and Evans - 2 of them maybe but not all 3.
I thought Thorpe was a defender, has he been switched to midfield?
Lindegaard; Fabio, Jones, Evans, McGinty; Valencia, Pogba, Giggs, Park; Berbatov, Owen
Diouf, Macheda, W.Keane
That would be my team. Looking forward to seeing Pogba tomorrow night. I'd like to see Petrucci in the game at some point also

Given the defensive injuries utd already have and a difficult away game coming up at the weekend I can`t see SAF risking Fabio, Jones and Evans. If there is even the slighest possibility that both Ferdinand and Smalling will miss the stoke game then I don`t think Jones and Evans will play tomorrow as an injury to one of them would then leave utd with only one centre half.
