"so either our league has got weaker or most of the other european leagues have got stronger."
Where do you dig these stupid statements up from?
What about SOME European teams have got better, or SOME of SOME of their leagues have improved?
Do you deny the EPL is stronger further down?
Did you read my point about SAF mis-judging teams and putting out weak sides?
And what about Spurs, have they not improved?
You have a very limited capacity to see the bigger picture.
its nothing to do with how well we have done in the past.
the fact is no british team has even got to the quarters.
so either our league has got weaker or most of the other european leagues have got stronger.
"yes the top prem teams proved that in the CL! "
Another stupid statement!
English teams haven't done as well as in the past, so they are worse?
You have a one track mind, United are out of the CL because SAF kept picking second rate teams, taking chances, he has said so himself
Did the others always field their best team?
And what about Spurs, are they worse? Are they only third because the other teams are worse too?
The average standard in the prem has been improving for years, where's the big gap below fourth place gone to?
Great day for us.
After a slow start to our game, it was a comfortable win in the end. We should have scored several more second half too. Jonny Evans was excellent at the back again, also got forward well a couple of times. Young continued to build on his decent form of the last couple of matches too.
I thought Welbeck had a good game, even if he did waste a great opportunity to score. Hernandez also. His build up play, ball control and passing is all showing good signs of improvement lately, ironically it was his finishing touch that evaded him today!
Delighted when news of Swansea goal came through, OT erupted! From what i've briefly read about their match, it sounds as though Swansea fully deserved their win too.
Its great to back on top, and hopefully their to stay! We shall not be moved!
Good win for us, and made sweeter by Citeh's defeat to Swansea.
Still, it can hide the obvious weaknesses in our squad and senior management. we need massive changes all the way from top down in the summer.

u have got away with it in the last few yrs & this yr because the premiership is very weak.
city the closest team to u & they have quite a few weaknesses & a very average manager. suprised they appointed him & have stuck with him despite little success.
