How on earth wasn't that a yellow card?
I can bet my bottom dollar that if that tackle was made any QPR player, they would have been carded and rightly so.
And you know what? The Sky Sports commentators would have said that the referee is trying to stamp his authority on the match and put a lid on that sort of tackles so early in the game in order to try and justify it - Typical nonsense and predictable!!!!
agreed. it was a late, nasty, aggresive sliding tackle which is a clear yellow.
but hey, its rooney so we will just tell him to calm down!
no wonder he hasnt had a yellow for so long!
to be honest thou rooney would have had about 10 yellows this season if he didnt play for utd.
it happend every year with scholes too. so nothing new.

It was a tackle period. There was nothing particularly nasty about it and it was Rooney`s first foul. It certainly wasn`t anything like the 2 tackles that saw Balotelli booked in the arsenal game. And what about the booking for Rafael, he slipped and even then there was only limited contact with the qpr player - and it was the utd man who had to come off injured. He probably deserved to be booked for an earlier tackle but not for the one he was booked for.
