  • I see all the papers are saying " Nani leaving United" etc, etc, etc, etc. Something about problems with contract talks. He still has 2 years left on his present contract, and I could have sworn he'd signed a new one.

    • Nani only wants out of 'Old Toilet' because Moanchester United's Ashley Young is a much better diver!

      LMFAO

    • seven > the media have been waiting a long time to put someone else on a pedestal and chop us down so all this for them is manna from heaven, I think the clubs approach has been mistaken id saying we have the same disposable money instead of readjusting back to when we had to be more careful with money and got players at more realistic prices and let others who glory in being fat cats pay through their noses for not so talented players, as after all world class players don't grow on trees but you don't need a team full of world class player to win thing just very good players and a good manager who are a TEAM, as for the Glazers maybe we would be happier if we saw PROPER investment when needed rather than excuses

    • He has got 18 months left apparently. Rumours abound on this one, probably at least half the stories about who sais what are just figments of the media's imagination.
However Nani usually brings out very divergent views from United fans. Some love him, 'one of our few flair players' etc, others think he is far too inconsistent and despair that he is ever worth a first team place.
Problem is he is so inconsistent from game to game, sometimes within a game itself. He can be brilliant bot in my view those times occur far too infrequently. I suspect he is a 'fitness player'. One who only gets his head straight if he believes he is 100% fit. Other players can perform when carrying a little niggle, not Nani I fear. That is not to say he isn't 'brave', because he is, he tries dribbles etc when he knows he is going to get clobbered. More often than not he is a 'first half of the season' player, tails off when he carries knocks.
Would he be more consistent if he was played more centrally? Perhaps, but I can't see Fergie ever taking that chance.
On balance I think if somebody was to offer £20m or so United should/would take it. There are one or two natural 'lefties' out there that money could buy.
