    Well Done

Not for the win, I'm still a bit bitter to be honest. Not at Utd, but at Halsey.

But I wanted to say well done to the vast majority of the Utd supporters who traveled to Anfield on Sunday. Wanted to post before, but boards seem to have been down and I only checked again today.

I know there was a bit of agro after the match, but think it was very minor with just a couple idiots from both clubs who decide to have a go. But during the match, and especially in the led up your lot handled things with class. So well done.

    • Prof your free to point it out. I'm just sorry that a couple idiotic Liverpool supporters out of 40k at the game that day have provided you with the excuse to post the bile you've recently posted on the lfc board recently or the chants we heard at Anfield in response to those idiots. You want to take the mentality of they started it,fine but I wonder who is mature enough to stop the idiocy.

    • Well said Dave.

Not that I thought for one minute that the vast majority wouldn't behave - most of us are normal human beings who just support different football teams.

Of course, you always have the odd inbred who will behave like an animal. There are even people commenting on this post who glorify footy violence and think they are still relevant. Best to just ignore, pity or laugh at them I say. If enough of the majority do that they'll eventually just fade away like a bad smell.

        Spot on PSred.

I enjoy talking to supporters of other clubs, it gives you a different perspective.

FYI, it's funny how I always feel that we get the rough end of the stick on many refereeing decisions, but many would not agree!

    • Good to see both sets of fans displaying a bit of humanity. I think any chants about people dying is pretty pathetic and OTT so good to see neither set of fans start with that nonsense.

Would like to know though what your views were on the comments on Halseys twitter, wishing him and his wife had died of cancer. They were apparently (being the operative word) Liverpool fans.

      • I'd say it was out of order. Yes I'm mad at him as imo his decisions were not just wrong but directly impacted the match. However I'd rather he sit down, watch it on tape and admit to himself he got it wrong, rather than be harassed by idiots.

I think Halsey is the oldest and one of the most experienced ref's on the premier leagues books, which is why I think he got the game on Sunday. He has a reputation for not being card happy, and so before the match would have seemed the best choice for a match that at the best of times can be a heated affair, but considering recent events could have been a handful to control. IMO, it’s just a shame he did not live up to that reputation.

      • Halsey messed up the game, imho.

Awarding a very soft penalty for diving, and lacked consistency in the way he dealt with Jonjo's stud up tackle and RVP's equally dangerous stud up tackle on a Liverpool player.

    • You obviously werent there. I was, two of your idiots ran over doing your usual 'munich wings', and they got arrested. There was nothing in reference to Hillsborough from us even after that.

'Always the victims, its never your fault.'
      Ask Halsey.
Guess whos fans went on twitter after the game and said he should of died of cancer? A clue, it wasn't ours again.
