Beware The End is Nigh. Is the Barnsley Chop on Simons menu? .

Lose and I fear it may be the Barnsley Chop for Simon. Out of the top six and falling to 10th Lose the next one and the noose tightens, we could be in 16th place by then. Then follows two tricky games, Burnley at home Chrystal Palace away. Two wins from those two matches and we could be soaring again amongst the Eagles. Two defeats and we will be squabbling with the sparrows on the ground. Bates knows this so therefore commonsense dictates that he can’t go beyond the Barnsley match and at the latest the home tie with Burnley without a win. It certainly looks very ominous that Brutus Bates will plunge the dagger sooner rather than later. Sounds very theatrical but the reality is that the present situation we find ourselves in is unfortunately more farcical than classical
    Comments please gents.

    • How does the saying go "The Customer is King"? Fans who pay good, hard earned money to go and watch their Team have "ALL" the right in the world to offer an opinion when it comes to the Players and their Club! Ulli Hoeness, Manger and now President of Bayern München made a like statement at a Club meeting a couple of yeras back! The fans were bemoaning Bayerns lot with I thjink it was Jürgen Klinsmann and his weird methods, all imported from the good ole USA by the way, when he got up and said something like, "You think because you pay your Ticket price and your fan club membership fee you have a right to criticise the Club management"? Then he went to explain how much the club gets from advertising etc etc and how large the amount was when compared to what they pay! THAT caused one hell of an uproar I can tell you! Grayson must stay but he has to change, if he loves the club as much as he says and we believe then he should be prepared to do this! Change personalities/managers/trainers/jockeys unsettles the horse/players/club! It is a measure usually only taken as a "LAST RESORT", not as a way out for an owner who doesn`t know what else to do!

    • The relevant words being "No Manger in His Right Mind"! Now work from there, how many Managers do we know who are "NOT" in their right mind? To even contemplate trying to work with Bates mean they must have lost a thread or two if not the whole screw!

    • Well we know Keogh is going back to Wolves and McCarthy back to Reading but we still need the defense strengthening and cover for Johnny. Paddy is way too slow now and Lees may be out for a short time.
We missed a good potential loan signing in Shelvey who may become available again in January, but maybe Lansbury could be persuaded to come.
The two big concerns are to stop leaking goals and the lack of scoring them as the strikers are out of form or the current tactics don't suit them.
As we are now not expecting as much as last season at this time of year perhaps there will be a reversal of fortune and we will do well from January with a good strong finishing run (I am dreaming of course as our run in is really difficult and if things are not good up till Easter we could find ourselves in the doldrums)
MOT without Bates!! (from one of his Morons)

    • Not a bad post Andy, well I just booked my tickets for Burnley £31 in the Southstand for me and £16 for my 12 year old son plus £2 booking fee now thats Premiership prices footy behind the goal! I don't understand the loanies coming in then them not even making the bench, I like every other fan would love to know about the O'Brien 'Affair' . Regarding the promotion push if he has any real desire to get to the promised land he will back Larry, instead of blaming the fans for putting off investors come on Bates pull the other one! Please no hoofball and all we the fans ask is for a bit of nice footy and for the players to give 100% anyhow we will be full of xmas cheer after the Barnsley win, I know I said I would not put anymore money in Bates pockets ah what the hell it's xmas last time mind u...... M.O.T BATES OUT

    • Bryan, unlike last year when we were second in the table at this time, the up-side this year is that our recent poor form demands new signings in the January transfer window...
However, I am not getting my hopes up as, from what Ken has said, players will be sold and I can only see this year's equivalents of Bannan and Livermore being brought in on loan as replacements....
By the time justice catches up with Ken Bates he will be too old to go to gaol but, as in the Spirits of Christmas, I can see his soul, Scrooge jittery and unrepentant, chained with Jacob Marley for eternity.

    • Easy, the changes I had in mind were tactical, not changing the manager. Like most posters on this board, I blame the organ grinder (Bates) for most of the problems at Leeds and not his beleaguered monkey (Grayson) who has to perform on a short tether – i.e. a shoestring.
I cannot think of another side where the owner/chairperson is the mouthpiece for the club instead of its manager. Additionally, with the lack of investment in playing personnel, I cannot imagine how any manager worth their salt, other than Grayson, would put up with it.
However, Simon Grayson is not blameless. His recent comments, in defence of poor performances, about how fans are not qualified to make judgements on his team selections and tactics because they are not privy to what he sees on the training field etc is close to him doing a Bates and calling us morons.
FFS, Simon, fans know when their team is not performing – many fans were following Leeds before you got your first pair of football boots! For how much longer do you think Leeds supporters will turn up to watch ‘hoofball’ at Premiership prices when they can see teams with more tactical nous and heart on Sunday League parks?
Simon, with or without Bates’ permission, you need to explain how Leeds could play so well against Nottingham Forest yet be so dire in other matches.
Other questions need answers for fans to continue to support Leeds. Why have you signed three internationals (Nunez, Forssell, and Vayrynen) and not used them? Why are your tactics so predictable that a Sunday League side could set itself up to frustrate the Mighty Whites? Have you lost the dressing room, does this relate to the Andy O’Brien affair and, if so, what are you doing about it? Are you really Bates’ monkey; carrying out his plan for Leeds not to return to the EPL until 2013? If Leeds does not gain promotion in 2012, do you trust Ken Bates to keep you in your job?
Ch-ch-ch-change at stuttering Leeds is needed… not necessarily a change of manager but a change from lies to truth.

    • See, when you guys are going for the 3 points on your travels your just gunna have to employ the same tactics as Pools do. You'll never win a home game though.
      H, Fuscking unbelievable.

    • I agree with you all. The only problem is we know KB is not a sane person!!
And who could he bring in that could take us up without spending lots of the lolly he has already pocketed, and is no longer available?
No manager in their right mind would come to Elland Road without the promise of funds to strengthen the team, but methinks he already has sounded out whoever he wants to come and promised them the earth.
The next few games should give an answer, but I don't think he will be that stupid unless unless the Barnsley chop is unpalatable!!

    • When you are up to your neck in crocodiles/alligators it is hard to think that you only want to empty the swamp! That is the situation Grayson finds himself in, some say it might be is own fault! SWhy, for not being is own MAN! No need to say who is the Daddy Croc is there?
