    Leeds v Watford

    Leeds United:
    Kenny;
    Peltier, Kisnorbo, Pearce, White;
    Byram, Diouf, Austin, Tonge;
    Varney, Becchio.
    Or:
    Kenny;
    Peltier, Kisnorbo, Pearce, Pugh;
    Byram, Diouf, Tonge, Hall;
    Varney, Becchio.
    Or:
    Kenny;
    Peltier, Kisnorbo, Pearce, White;
    Byram, Brown, Diouf, Tonge;
    (New Player), Becchio.
    Or:
    Any combination along these lines!

    ‘Just guessing that Kissa will replace Lees in defence. Austin probably needs a rest. Peltier and Tonge are both carrying injuries so Neil might use either Norris or Green; playing Byram at RB. Brown has played okay but looks like a red card candidate. Diouf, not a natural striker, should be allowed to control midfield – assuming Neil doesn’t use more long-ball tactics!
    We need pace and a natural goal-scorer in attack. Ryan Hall appears to fit the bill and, maybe with Neil intending to go “gung-ho”, the lad might get a start if talk of Leeds loaning a “game changing” new player comes to nowt – though, even if we get a new striker, I’d like to see Hall play.
    Varney running the channels with Becchio doing his usual hold-up play may give us more than only using Becchio as a lone striker. Neither are predatory goal-scorers but with the right supply, from wide players getting in behind defences, they could net important goals. Hall, Byram, and White are all capable of pace and providing attacking threats from wide positions. With this potential, it is disheartening to watch Leeds playing “route one” football.

    Watford:
    Almunia,
    Hall, Doyley, Pudil, Cassetti,
    Hoban, Chalobah, Hogg, Abdi,
    Deeney, Forestieri

    I don’t know much about Watford so this line-up is just a guess. One thing for sure is that Zola will tell his team to score as early as possible, exploit the negativity that envelops Leeds at present, and set our fans against our players and manager – it’s a good game plan… Neil will be aware of this and set Leeds up to deal with the threat.

    Prediction:
    Leeds 2-1 Watford – though, with a new striker, it would be great to see a 5-0 result and Leeds edging forward on goal difference… Dreams, dreams, dreams!
