    If we stay up...

If we stay up who should we sign? I'm thinking strikers, Neil Mellor (Liverpool) Charlton's Jay Bothroyd, Man Utd's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if they can't offer him the deal he wants or Middllesborough's Hasslebaink. I think we would be best giving a second string striker from a esablished club a shot at being a hero and regular football rather than hoping on a Curtis Davis in striker form from a lower club. We had that experience with Earny.

    • we should have a look at Carlton Cole of Chelsea,Jose doesn't want him and he is an excellent prospect!!

    • you do realise that the Albion board will never pay the wages for any of those strikers especially Solskjaer and Hasslebaink. And as for Mellor do you think he would move from Liverpool (chance of Champions league etc) to us (Kieron Richardson springs to mind). I dont know what the answer, but I think you are dreaming. I agree we need to look at the strikers but 25000 fans new that in January, its a pitty that robson didnt. I still think that Andrew Johnson at Palace would do a job for us and I actually think he is an Albion type player. Another shout for me would be Miller over in Dingle land. As for buying a premiership striker it wont happen!

      • I think they will have to pay for a premiership striker if they want to ensure prem football, we almost sprung for Hasslebaink in Jan as it was.
Solskjaer is out of contract come summer and hasn't played regular in a couple of years, has had a series of major injuries so may be seen as arisk and with Man Utd not even having space in the starting line-up for Van Nistelroy at the moment. Maybe they'll give us a loan?
