    Amazing Revelation!!!!

I have just found out, (From a very reliable source) that a certain Mr Brian Robson offered to plough his own money into WBA during the transfer window last season. Robson made over £70 Million when "Birthdays" the Card Shop was sold around 5 years ago, he owned 50% of this business with a business man from Bury, he apparantly offered to invest £25 million of his own money as long as HE could spend it on the players HE wanted. A certain chairman refused the offer of the cash injection due to Robsons demands of some of his shares. Robson didn't want to formally make an offer to buy the club just to invest cash for a percentage of ownership. According to my source Peace was worried about the long-term effects of having a manager who also owned shares and was concerned that Robson would seem to be "Untouchable" if anything went wrong. If this story is true (Which he has never been wrong in the past) then it is the Final Nail in peaces coffin. How can he justify turning down a cash injection that I presume would have meant Hasselbaink + Echogh + others would have signed and more than likely would have resulted in escaping relegation in exchange for a percentage of a club his business (NOT HIM)would still have had full control over?!?!?!?!?

What the hell is going on at the hawthorns???!????

    • If all true and accurate that is a damning indictment of Peace.
Although I can see why Peace wouldn't have wanted an untouchable manager it does seem that if someone is willing to pump money in for only a small percentage of the shares you should take it especially if the offer is higher than your valuation. It depends whether Robson wanted 49% or 4.9%. I'd say for £70m he would have wanted around half of the club especially as the club made a loss last season.
Maybe we should have had Robson as Director of Football with Mowbray managing. Robson was a big draw for players coming to the club.

      P.S.
I wonder if any of you guys who know people at the club know which mananger they prefer? Robson or Mowbray or even Megson? They would say that they are very different and don't compare to the papers but what do they really think?
