    One Striker

Kanu is the only fit striker Pompey have, yet he refuses to recall toddy from loan. Is this the worst decision ever or what. We have the christmas period coming up, and we will really struggle if we don't have enough fire-power up front

    • We have undoubtedly plateaued. It's plain for all to see that we are now well within our comfort zone, and don't seem too bothered to really scrap to turn draws into wins right now. This is the time of the season when we need to be really fired up to push for a UEFA cup place. However, whilst we still look solid at the back, we look toothless up front, with a stark inability to open up teams and create clear cut chances. Take the Boro game last night, we hardly had a shot on goal, and thats appalling for a home team trying to get into Europe.

I think we'll sink and finish mid-table, which is still progress, but very disappointing considering our amazing start.

      Play Up Pompey

    • toddy could not be recalled from his loan until 4 jan 2007 as this is part of the deal

      • to be honest i think strikers is a massive problem for pompey we have some hard working guys, dont mistake me, Benji is creative, Lua Lua is a threat, kanu is supprisingly scoring , but where is the money for the striker that really can do all of the above? we had a chance for Martins but we wouldnt pay up,a pattern with so many players, toddy is a good player and he can score, if he hadnt have picked up the injury who knows where we'd be. all i know that Kanu and Cole are too old , lua is injured and benjani doesnt score to often, where are the goals going to come from, Gaydamk needs to breka the bank.

    • There was a clause in the loan agreement that Toddy couldn't be reclaimed until January.

      • The reason that redknapp didn't recall toddy from loan, is that he just doesn't fancy him anymore. And to be fair to harry after seeing toddy this season a couple of times i dont blame him.
i think toddy was a great 1st div player but he had struggled at west ham in the top league and after so long injured i dont belive he will ever make it in the top league.
some players just aren't good enough, think earnshaw(oh i hope we dont get him).
I do hope however everything i wrote about Toddy comes back to bite me on the arse as he is still a pompey hero in my eyes.
        PLAY UP POMPEY!!!

    • what of Benjani.is he still injud or he he on the sildelines only

    • i think kanu is the only real striker pompey has got, i hope he is not leaving in january as speculated
