    Man U Game

So unlucky.....The best defensive performance I have seen from spurs in a long time. Man U also lacked the fire power up front but Spurs did deserve to come away with at least a point.

Bale looked solid on the left in front of Lee. Huddlestone had another good game. Jenus made a good save of the line but other than that was quiet. Keane was also quiet for much of the game. Berb had a good game.

I hope that all the positives of the game are judged even though we did lose, but if we keep putting in games like that week in week out then the luck will turn for the better. MJ could not have asked for more from the players.

    Good entertaining game COYS.

    • At last! Spurs showed some real metal and even looked good defensively but one swallow does not make a summer. If they are to progress into Champions League football they will have to put in the same work rate and show the same competitiveness week in week out against every team, not just Man U. If they do MY will have done his job and done it well and I for one will be surprised and happy.

    • That's 3 years on the trot where we deserved to come away with at least a point. I think we had the better of the chances yesterday and the 'men' of the match.
Rocha didn't appear to lose a ball in the air at the back and should have scored, and Gareth Bale looked more that comfortable (I thought both were contenders for man-of-the-match).
Malbranque had one of those days were he couldn't get the ball out of his feet, but tracked back and defended well. Huddlestone - could have had two.Chimbonda - solid and won virtually every ball he went for in the air in their box. YP Lee - looks like a good partnership with Bale - both attacking and defending.
Gardner - a much maligned player - but he's stood in well over the opening games. Berbatov - flashes of genius and Keane the same level of workmanship and skill as to be expected. Robinson hesitated once - but after being slammed during the week was there ... I had thought that Jenas would pick up from where he left off against Derby, but he vaishes too much during games
Overall, I thought we defended well and created the best chances (and more of them) - shame to drop the points, but if they can keep up that level of performance, 5th should be ok again and possibly 4th.

      • just sitting at Stansted airport waiting for my plane back to Berlin, been a long w/e for me, the lads did us proud yesterday, glad i was there to put in my bit for the lads, my throat is really sore as well, at times it seemed we out sung the mancs, support was 110%, hope it came across on the box.

looks like my thread about the left side of the park came true!

thought Bale did a good job, considering it was his first real premiership game, and as for Rocha, well he had a great game imo

        onwards and upwards..............................COYS
