Bit quiet for a cup final week!

To be fair all the boards are a bit lame this week so shall we get a bit of momentum up in what is a huge week for us?
First up is the return leg with Slavia. Do we rest anyone or go all out to bury this tie from the off? I read Robbo will get a recall and could be playing the cup final if he can avoid dropping the ball into his own net! If he plays Ledley does that effectively end his chance of playing in the final due to his knee trouble?
As for the final I feel we have a real chance as long as we go out to win it and not ponce around trying to subdue Chelski. I dont rate SWP at all but he always scores a jammy one against us.....its the likes of him who are their real danger men against Spurs....not Drogba, Lumpard etc
    Thoughts please...........

    • go away beer belly. peddle your propaganda and whining somewhere else.

there nothing less likely to attract feedback than self-righteous posts about how to educate others.

      now go on p*ss off.

      Obrigado. Bert.

    • I got rid of most of them by posting a thread to attract them. When they were all in one spot it took seconds to put the lot on ignore. Now I can't see the rubbish they post.
      As for the final:
It'll be a cracker, I think. Most finals are rather drab but I've a feeling this one won't. I'm confident we'll beat you but expect a good game.My prediction is 2-0 with goals from Lampard and Joe Cole.

    • Arlright John...
haven't spoke to you since the day's shortly after leeds were wrongly deducted 15points, on the leeds board.

appreciate what you say mate, and I like to be considered genuine, even if I do like a wind up occasionally.

all I can say is that Alfie got set up by a villa poster named truVillan, calling himself morefakeid and I took it in, hook, line and sinker. There is still another outstanding calling itself kovansdad1664 though...............wonder if that was the same person??

      No matter,

Hopefully we can move on now..

Won't stop me squabbling with him occasionally though..

      maybe !!

      Nige.

    • Nah couldnt get tickets Alfie...not enough points! I dont get to many games so its fair play to those who have more points. My mate got his but he still dont know where he's sitting or what the cost is......I told him he's probably in the Olympic gallery at £500 a throw ha ha.

As for all this fake ID stuff.....count me out.

Now lets get this thread back to the football........it will be a blow to lose the final as we could do with a fastrack back into Europe.....but not the end of the world. Despite our terrible start and sacking BMJ we have come through in leaps and bounds and the future is bright...its lillywhite.

    • Best band on Earth,,,,,Wrinkles or not!

    • Talking of battles i just got back from Waterloo. The imax cinema showing U2 3D which isnt offically out till tomorrow. The best bit was the trailers in terms of 3d-ness. And U2 in concert showing a lot of microhones and guitars in your face was most of the film but hey it was like being at one of thier concerts and thats what you get so no real complaints as music is what i like.. And Bono has VERY good high definition wrinkles. hehe.

      totally off topic and random

    • I really hope you win at the weekend, your team has shown a tremendous improvement since the turn of the year. Robbie Keane is a player who deserves a trophy for all his exploits over the last year or so. His goalscoring record is as good as anyone in Europe - a real unsung hero at Spurs because of the praise Berbatov receives.

      • Robbie's a very much sung hero, although I think you're right and some of us take him for granted a bit... if we had to lose one personally I'd keep Keane over Berbs any day of the week - quality player and proven loyalty.

I say rest where possible tonight, we've got a lead through an away goal and we're generally strong at the lane. In fact, despite my feelings about Bent 'skills' I'd even say to whack him on & give Berb a break. Under NO circumstances should Ledley play tonight (which I think is the plan anyway), ideally I'd like to see King & Dawson start at the back on Sunday because they've earned it.

Not sure how I feel about the possibility of Kaboul playing tonight... it'd be nice to rest as many as possible, but he's incredibly bad 90% of the time. Mind you, I do credit him as being able to develop into a relatively good player, so maybe that's started. I suspect that part of the reason that Cerny was repeatedly selected at first was to teach Robbo a little humility, I'd be happy to see Robbo play tonight, but I reckon it'll be Cerny Sunday. It'd be a bit harsh to see Cerny dropped after one mistake & might knock his confidence a bit... we'll see.

    • Well I'm here EY. You'd expect a deluge of kids here on half term week but appears theyve all grown up hehe.

      Firstly have you got tickets?

I applied but think ive been unlucky with the draw.

So who we gonna drop then? 2 games in 3 days means its Team Spurs to play them both. It'll be berbs for sure. But any other certain players to be dropped i couldnt tell you. And i hope not to know as this will mean Chelsea will be left to wonder too.

All i know is that Chelski are taking this CC Final VERY seriouslyas theyve rested players at their game last night

I hope for a jolly spiffing game with a resounding win for the spurs. If not then we lose hehe. All in all a great weekend coming up. I just hope by then we've still got something to crow about. Theres our neighbours who desperatly want to see us lose just waiting in the wings to goad.
