    We cannot loose Keane!

Crouch for Keane? No! Keane is the only player who seems to have his heart where it belongs at the Lane.

    • i agree with u blonde but dont worry he wont be leaving for liverpool, he will stay for another season and give Ramo a chance to get spurs in to the top 4, if he fail to get us in CL spot then Keane might change his mind and move to a champion league football team! he a good guy and had been a great service to us since teddy sheringham!! he will do wot is right for spurs.

    • By the same note, is it acceptable for sportsmen and women to take drugs as long as they don't get caught? After all, we've all seen it happening for years, it's not nice but it's part of the genre?

Just because it happens doesn't mean you should wish someone well for doing it, and my point is that there are players (for example, like Berbatov and Defoe) who I think have given their all for the club but known it's not for them for whatever reason. We've all known it and so can wish them well for their service and all the best in the future. If - IF - Keane decides he wants to go this summer it seems to be done in a really underhanded way, that's what I'm not happy about.

    • know where you're coming from Berlin, I totally agree.... the thing is Keane hasn't come out and said what he wants, one way or another (very much like Ronaldo - though personally I think the arrogant little Portugeezer has got such a big ego, that he's loving all the attention). As I've said before - about Berbs - if a player wants to go, then go he must.

    • my sentiments exactly essex, after all we do it with players from other clubs ;-)

    • ain't it the truth! effing sad ain't it? ;-)

    • Unfortunately the ONLY loyal part of football nowadays is the fans... money talks and we count for very little

    • If Harry 'pulls them off 'as a strikeforce he'll be arrested for gross indecency!
I wouldnt go as far as to boo Robbie Keane (I personally couldnt throw his 5 years of graft down the pan just like that) but I do agree it is a bit lame to profess your undying love for a club (after our CC victory) only to have your head turned at the first opportunity. I have said earlier that I really dont think there are many proper loyal clubmen out there anymore so I think the general feeling on this board is that we shouldnt be too surprised when this happens.

    • unfortunately saarf, the club can only put a price on his head, if the player wants to go what else can be done? player power has become too strong with get out clauses in contracts etc, if another club is willing to hit the price set then get rid imo, no matter who it is, no player is bigger than the club, irrespective, sad as it is ;-)

    • how long has tapping up a player in one way or another gone on for blonde? and you're still surprised and dissappoionted by it?

there is no such thing as loyalty where money is concerned for the vast majority of sports stars etc, agents see to that and the green eyed monster in all of them come out ;-)
