Ok, so we won against Newcastle!!.
So what did everyone think about our success last night?
Personally, I thought the first 45 minutes was possibly the most boring football I have seen in a long-long time. Vast improvement in the second half (well it couldn't have got any worse then the first 45 minutes) - it was good to see Pavlyuchenko finally get off the mark and I think we did just about enough to deserve the win.
I'd like to see us get someone like Rotherham or Brighton at WHL in the 4th round!!
Opinions? You're bottom of the league so I think this cup is irrelevant. You've made too many changes. Newcastle are in melt down mode. I'm mildly irritated that we're not playing them soon as it would be 3 points easily.
You were slightly better than a team in crisis. Were I a Spurs supporter I'd not be happy.

We are acutley aware of our shortcomings oioi......were you a Spurs supporter youd probably take a victory over anyone in any fashion in any competition too! Of course we are not happy....but thats football.
You want opinions? 1)We wont be bottom of the league for much longer. 2) We may need to win a trophy to qualify for Europe again so advancing is essential. 3) there is nothing irrelevant about winning a trophy........there was a time when winning something defined a clubs season.

A late congratulations to the spurs on your victory - I see u guys are really wishing to face us in the 4th round? if u really want us so soon in the competition, it will make things all the more interesting - i hope u all know last year was a one off with that 5-1 - the same wont happen again anytime soon. You lot are not relegation material and need to pick up soon, perhaps the CC victory may lift the spirits up a bit.
Agree Mike. I was convinced it would be a boring 0-0 draw after ET then we'd go out on penalties.
However, the introduction of GDS after half-time was a good move and he made all the difference. Pav was unlucky not to have scored earlier, but his goal was very well taken and reminded me of Teddy Sheringham. Let's hope it opens the floodgates for him.
Defensively, I thought Gomes was on form and saved us from what could have been another humiliating defeat - shame he couldn't quite get to the cross which allowed Owen to score. Woody was masterful, King showed a lot of flashes of his pre-injury presence, and Corluka had a better game. Still feel we need Hutton back to full strength though. Bale was good but wasted some chances - believe he took a knock which was why he was subbed.
Midfield is still a problem. I don't think playing 4-5-1 suits us, although it prevented Duff from surging down the right wing on a number of occasions. Jenas went missing for a lot of the game (again) but woke up towards the end, and Lennon did OK. I'm a big fan of O'Hara and his goal was well taken, if cheekily won - a typical poacher's goal. Modric didn't get enough time on the pitch but probably best to ease him back after his recent injury.
From what I saw of Fraizer Campbell he looks useful, but he needs to play for longer to get more into the game.
All in all though I'm obviously happy with the win.
Not sure about getting a lower league team in the 4th round given the surprises they sprang on supposedly superior teams this week, but I'd prefer a home tie.
Our fans were vocal last night in a horribly empty SJP but being in front of our home crowd in the 4th round can be a big lift to us.
