  • I know that we all should be behind Juande Ramos as he has an excellent history at other clubs, he is not to blame for the start to our season.
He can only tell the team how to play and who to play, we have some good players in the squad but they need to gel.

I agree with Jamie Redknapp and David Pleatthat WE do not need a football director as this causes problems in the squad and cuts out the manager.

If any player has a problem they should go to the manager, i do not wish to see Juande go as i feel that we will go down if we got rid of him, get rid of the Director of Football.

    • Couldn't agree more that a Director of Football is not needed, especially if he gets to choose who to buy and sell etc, but David Pleat saying it is a bit rich. Hasn't he had that position a couple of times? And anyway, the bloke is a complete idiot. Some of the things he comes out with when commentating are truely pathetic.

Sorry but I for one don't want to wait until January to find out if Ramos can turn it around. There are absolutely no signs that that will be the case. He has got a demoralised team with no confidence and that is as much down to him and his team/formation selections as anybody else.

He's gotta go and the sooner the better.

    • Here's the thing. Comolli will go. Levy is in the states at the moment getting his arse kicked, 'cause just at the time when there are a whole bunch of Arabs looking to buy and someone could have made a tidy few hundred mill (Mr Lewis), the club looks like its in crisis and nobody with money is interested in THFC. Talk about bad timing.

Someone has to be the fall guy, and in this situation it will be Comolli. I must say that he hasn't done too bad a job of bringing players in (paid a bit much for some of them) but his overall aquisitions havn't been bad. I don't think he is to blame for Kean and Berba. I think they had opptions they decided to take up.

All in all, the Directors have been a bit ametureish in their outlook and expectations, more out of a sense of wanting to do well I imagine, because theres the incentive. They would have made a tidy few bob if it had all gone to plan.

I think poor old oneday will eventuially get to grips if he's allowed time. Needs to get the common bond going though. I reccomend he takes the squad to his english classes, that might do the trick.

    • This debate on whether we need a director of football will rumble on for a while.

Personally I agree that we do not need Comolli, but if we got Venables (as has been already suggested) in to replace him, I am confident that he would not interfere with team business - giving JR free rein to concentrate on doing his job of managing the day-to-day running of team affairs - so a Director of football would be a good idea if it was someone else other the Comolli.
