I couldnt face human interaction for a WEEK let alone watch any football after that.
Its funny you say that cos it was the first thing i thought when we were 3-0 up at H/T against the bin dippers last month.
The other horror was agisnt their neighbours in the cup, 3-0 up and they had TEN men as well only to lose 4-3.I blamed Eileen Drewery. Glen Hoddle era
A REAL horror story
that was a painful one John.....particularly the way we just folded after Cole grabbed their first!!
Thankfully that was around 2001 so after 7 years the hurt is easing a bit (mind you Im still hurting from the 7-0 stuffing that pool gave us in 1978...we had Ossie, Ricky and Glenn in the team that day!)
I too think Utd are due to give someone a lesson but it shouldnt be us if we turn up and perform. However if we have an off day there's little chance they will too. I'll take a draw thanks.

....but (and I don't know why) I always fancy our chances against Utd. The two seasons under Jol, I was convinced we'd even beat them up there...
I'm not so sure that this season (despite the results saying otherwise over the past few games) that we've shown the form though..so a draw would be respectable, a win a Christmas bonus.
Painful?...It has blighted the lives of this family for generations...
My son was 11 at the time and he still has nightmares about it....I took to the bottle, and me old mum finally lost the plot and has been ga-ga ever since...
