LTS, Did he? Seems he's got more sense that I gave him credit for - I think I recall a few pundits saying similar stuff and bemoaning the lack of a national school (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilleshall_Hall ). Hoddle (is his school still going?), may be in the right place at the right time, as he can bring any nationality player up to scratch and sell into the respective market.
As for Gazza, it always seems to be the way with the easily led, the booze/drugs/women - but when you're in your 20's and everyone is telling you you're a 'god', it would be difficult, if not impossible to keep your feet on the ground. I think that's where the good managers come in. I wasn't a great lover of 'Gazza' - mainly because of his temperament - but I can't deny he was a stunning player. And Higgins - poor sod - I saw those photos when they were trying to get some money for him and he was just a bag of bones.
As for this new poster - as soon as I see any post with that 'abusive' tone, I just tend to ignore them. They seems to thrive on attention.
