    Maradona

typical english skullduggery.... maradona is a legend and the greatest player to have ever graced the beautiful game.. he is not only revered in south america, but just as much in europe, asia, north america... he single-handedly took a relatively obscure napoli to domestic and european domination and performed at the highest level.. unlike that other self-promoting charlatan tw@t pele..... scored a hatful of goals in the equivalent of a sunday league and calls himself the greatest.. idiot.... maradona is the greatest and the whole lot of you are not fit to lick his boots.....

    • Maradona is the greatest player I've ever seen in my 35 years. He'd be first name on any dream team at his peak.

I was just stunned to see that he'd scored a similar goal before the H.O.G. That means he knew exactly what he was doing against England. All these years, I've had a great deal of respect for the fella, and put the H.O.G goal down to heat of the moment. But this little turd had no hesitation to cheat to win.

By the way, the goal was on a Zico documentary. Man, Zico was a great player. He spent most of his career in Brazil, only done a season in Europe with Udinese, so never fully tested himself. But from what I've seen, he was a Messi minus the top European club experience.

      • rich, agreed zico was a fine player indeed.... maradona is certainly not alone in terms of doing what it takes to win... basically the principle of ' it's legal if the ref didn't see it'..... i know that is not the english (gentlemanly) way, but there you have it.... i mean just look at the shenanigans in fifa.... christ, warner just resigns and fifa call off the inquiry to keep his reputation intact..... ridiculous! even a blind man can see what warner, bin hammam, blatter and the rest were upto... a world cup in qatar?? qatar ffs!!!! they don't even have enough stadiums, let alone people to fill the stadiums.... but getting back to the point, every player has committed hara kiri at some point.... even the world's best player messi has done so against getafe... check out youtube for his hand of god goal in la liga.. or maybe it was copa del rey...... and then of course, most recently, there was the 'hand of devil' suarez goal line stop that cheated ghana from getting to the semis at the world cup...
