I know it sounds like sour grapes but week in, week out we are discussing BAD refereeing decisions that have cost us badly.
Yesterday is just another example. Howard Webb really does NOT like Spurs. I always dread the game once I know he is the ref and we are playing one of the other top teams. He cost us points against Man City and he's not the only bad official that we have had lately. KM pointed out that we have been denied seven points before yesterdays game by poor officials.
It is not the fact that we have lost distance on the 2 Mancs but how it could cost us. Long way to go but we are still in with a shout, but these decisions could really cost us at the end of the season.

I watched the replays a lot (a LOT!) and I really don't think Webb can be blamed for yesterday; where was the 4th official when he needed him? Webb turned towards Balotelli as he was stamping, but he was looking at the ball and then Mario's face; I don't think he would have seen the stamp. And for the Lescott situation he was following play whereas the incident was far off the ball.
I don't think he can be blamed for missing those; that's what the assistant refs are for. And I really think he did well with what he saw (as I referenced before, e.g. Parker's hard but fair tackle on Richards).
