    another awful performance

all at sea again. avb is proving the doubters right. just wish we went for moyes.

once again hudd was terrible. the defence was all over the place.
no service to the fowards. huge boos when avb takes defoe off for ade with 30mins to go. we are losing at home to wigan & he takes off our best goalscorer. no wonder the crowd booed heavily. why not go with ade & defoe upfront & take off dempsey when we need 2 goals.
we need a best goalscorers when we are losing at home to wigan. we havent got many of them so defoe had to stay on. he had no service what so ever. so how can u finger him out & take him off.

wigan bossed the game & should have been 3 or 4 up by the time they scored.

our CM looks terrible with both sandro/parker out & demebele out. hudd isnt good enough & sigs hasnt performed so far for us. still not replaced modric. maybe our fans will realise how important modric was.

the middle was crowded so we put lennon & bale on the wrong side so they automatically come in to the crowded middle! whats the point in that!

maybe for the longer term it would be better if we carrying on playing badly. maybe then levy will get rid of avb & get someone like moyes in.
no good beating utd but then dropping points to wba, norwich & wigan at home.

levy has got a lot to answer for. huge gamble giving avb the job. i dont know what he sees in him. its just about when levy admits a mistake & gets rid of avb & then we can move foward.

    • a typical spursbabe post, ffs grow up you stupid bitch, avb has done well so far, at the same point last year we had 18pts, now we have 17! what is your problem? i bet you're one of those stupid idiots that would boo the team instead of get behind them, we have injuries to key players and you are a cretin to think we could be doing better. wigan is a team that can beat anyone on their day, saturday was their day and we didn't perform, the team are still adjusting and it takes time to do that, so all in all it's not all doom and gloom as you think. instead of coming on here and spouting crap post something more positive you arsewipe....COYS!!!

      • lol oh dear Jabba,

Having watched the game myself I have to say Spursbabe's post was bang on the money.

AVB's job is to watch what is going wrong and right on the pitch and make correct decisions to adjust the team to perform at it's best capabilities on who is available to play.

This he did not do and it was his poor decisions that cost us the game.

I for one and very glad the ENTIRE crowd boo'd the decision to remove Defo as fingers crossed it will make AVB think about why they boo'd and maybe realise what a stupid decision is was.

    • Thanks for that...just read the match report on here, and now yours...sounds like we didn't show up. Not sure why it's still fairly early in the season, but something's missing in our play (we always play 4-4-2 ay home and as a result we put most visitors to the cosh...but it seems that AVB is erring on the side of conservatism, home and away, regardless of opponent...NOT GOOD.

Well, I have to put it into perspective as I've just finished a 2 hour family intervention involving my son...a win would have made my disposition a little sunnier...but my kid getting the point of this life would do me much better...WIP (Work In Progress)...wish me luck.

      • yes, avb has been fair too conservative especially at home.
but even if he is stuck in his ways. he could always go more attacking when we need goals like today. but he didnt.
just swapped ade for defoe. suprise suprise we didnt score without our top goalscorer on the pitch.

awww sorry to hear that rambro. he is still young so has plenty of time to turn around his life. lets just hope the penny drops.

my sibling was off the rails from about 14-25yrs old.
then the penny dropped & turned the life completly around.

all u can do is be their to support them.

its all kicking off in the usa. we have that awful storm on the east coast. & also the election.

from what little do i know, am i right in thinking obama means well but cant get what he wants done because they wont allow him to make the big changes he wants too?

that mitt guy seems like a fruitloop!

    • I didn't think the performance was awful - not good, but not awful. I think if we had got a goal and the draw, the poor performance would have been glossed over again.

Results flatter to deceive, and so far we've been 'lucky' this season with the results we have got from some poor'ish performances. Yesterday we played poorly and got the result the preformance warranted. But we are where we are. In a way it's a good thing, as we're sitting 5th without having played that well.

Losses to Norwich and Wigan aren't the best preparation for heading into games against Woolwich and Citeh, and I had hoped that AVB would have got some of the 'flow' back, but we still seem to me to be a bit stilted to say the least.

With a Europa game coming up and with Sandro and Gallas both looking like they got injuries yesterday, the squad may be tested even more. I though I read that Parker may be on the way back though - or was that wishful thinking?

      • from the 'highlights', I thought we looked a total shambles...it's not as if we're even playing great and being unlucky, there is no Spurs rythm that we're renowned for...
WTF is going to happen in January, are we going to continue paying those 2 misfits, Bentley and Gomes to do absolutely nothing!!! why keep them?!! clear their wages, get rid of Bentley for 2m and Gomes for 3m and use the 5m towards someone we actually rate or who cares about actually doing sometihng for his wage...Levy must know their value is dropping by the day...give them away if we have to, cancel their f*ckin contracts, I don't know...they don't give a damn about the club so treat them accordingly! angry

    • Watched the whole of the 2nd half live and although we didn't create that many chances,i thought we had more possesion and from 60mins on Wigan fairly got into our half.
From the write up on Yahoo youwould have thought that we were totally under the cosh,-which was definately not the case.
Yes, the midfield is lacking without Dembele but sadly we won't be able to bring anyone in untill January and untill then we will have to slug our through, because for some reason(apart from missing modric)we are strugling to control the midfield even with 5 men and our balance of play is all over the place.
Hopefully BAE will soon be back along with kaboul because at present we are leaking goals too easily.
As for the goal keeping issues,i wish AVB would make up his mind as this is equally as frustrating, why buy the 3rd ranked goal keeper in the world for him to sit on the bench.
Luckily for us the teams around us didn't fair too well so we only slipped 1 place, but wth m.city and the arse both away in our next 2 games things could get a tad ugly.
      Fingers crossed........atb jeffall COYS

    • yep, we're going to take some convincing...something just isn't right with us, feels like we're going backwards...how the hell are we 5th?!!!!
