How many points from the next games...?

I can see the Woolwich bunch getting 10 points from their remaining games. Today is a bit iffy for them so could limit that.
Based on yesterday, we seemed to lack that desire and fight and again imagination going forward - but I can still us getting between 7 and 10 points from our final fixtures.
I really hoped that we'd push on from the Citeh result and put the pressure on.

At least we seem to have Lemmon back - but have we now lost Dembele in the process?

I heard that Urd are chasing Chelsea's points total - so at least there is some incentive for them to win today - they need a full set of wins to break the 95 point barrier. I don't see a Fergie team 'giving up' either. A zero pointer for Woolwich today would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

    • we were poor again yesterday & lacked ideas going foward. seems to be a recurring theme under avb. dawson & hudd were very poor yesterday. we were gifted 2 goals. we seem to be unlucky with officials thou. wigan player who was already on a yellow should have been sent off after an hour for a dangerous high foot. nasri should have been sent off last week after 10mins against us too. its the perfect time to play utd. nothing really to play for & all week iv seen pix of their players out late at night partying. as city showed against us, how much u want it makes a big difference. we wanted it more than city last week, & arsenal want it more than utd today. so i fancy arsenal to nick it 2-1. hopefully utd will prove me wrong & be as determinded as ever. then ud expect arsenal to easily win their remaining games. chelsea should win easily by 3 today. i still think realistically we are fighting for 5th with everton who closed the gap by 2. its going to be exciting tense stuff between us & everton for 5th! i can see it going down to the last day. just 3pts in it now. nail biting stuff! come on utd & the swans today thou!

    • well jlock i have supported spurs since 1948(and have the scars to prove it....lol).....this seems to be a recurring theme thro' the years....they falter in the home stretch....to say it is frustrating is an understatement....the gunners were 10 points behind us and we blew it....we can still hope.....but!!

      • Derek,
I don't remember it as that though Derek, as for most of the time that I've followed Spurs (mid 60's), we've been a mediocre top half'ish league team - with the odd glimpse of what we should have been capable of. Especially given some of the glorious players that we've had on our books.

I don't recall much these days anyway, but I don't remember it being like the past few seasons - especially on the goalscoring front. Maybe it's an illusion, but it seems to me that we tend to score quite freely in the opening half of the season, and then trail off. Maybe not so much this season though as to me we seemed 'off' from the 'off'. All but as if teams suss out how we play and just cancel us out.

But the Woolwich bunch have given us a chance again. All we can do is get the wins - 3pts shouldn't be a problem against Southampton. Although I can also see Woolwich getting the points at QPR and us then going into the Chavs game needing the 3 points still to overhaul them.

But while the points are still there to be had, any one can slip up. Like the Woolwich game yesterday. I thought, by the way they started, that they had it in the bag. But then they fail to capitalise and Utd come back into it and could have won.
