Blues were the better side, agaist a megamillions team...the penalty miss was disappointing, but overall a good display, with Maik Taylor commanding his box. Interesting to see if he keeps the spot next week.
Time added on a bit excessive...thought the ref was trying the old Man U system...6 minutes or until Man C score routine.
Was impressed by Ridgewell, usually I am a critic of his , so was pleased with his performance...Dann was looking shaky...but overall, two points dropped IMO.
Blues on the rise ! Roll on January !
3 points dropped due to a fine display by Shay Given and a poor penalty by James McFadden.
No goals conceded due to a confident display by Maik Taylor, and did you notice how relaxed the defence were. They knew exactly where Maik was, just look at some of the back passes or how they let the ball run.
Maik organised the defence on corners and free kicks, was talking to them all the time, the sign of a true professional keeper. On that note I will rest my case on who is No. 1 keeper at St. Andrews.
At the end of the day we showed the multi-million team from Manchester that we are no walk over at St Andrews and yes bring on the January transfer window, just hope Blooming Eck knows how to spend the money astutely.

I watched the penalty again on TV when I got home. Now my recollection of McFad's penalties, are that he blasts them to the keepers right, so why did he try to place it to Givens left?...Only he knows that, especially as given is clearly seen to be showing alot of goal to his left, in ordrer to entice McFadden to put it to that side.
Have to agree about Maik though...excellent, confident performance,,,but Hart will be back next week at Liverpool...put money on it.
