    Another apology....

A few weeks ago I apologised to Bentdner and Eboue for criticising them time and time again when now they have to deliver...

Now I'd like to apologise to Arsène Wenger. I once said that our club wasn't moving forward, that he should eventually go because of his whacky decisions.

But this past week has proved we are moving forward....

Tell me when Arsenal Football Club in the past 4 trophyless years have been outplayed of the pitch and still grab a draw at home.

Tell me when Arsenal Football Club in the past 4 trophyless would have recovered from a draw at Birmingham, a horrific injury along the way and key injurees to other players including our captain and our most skillfull player (not to mention Arshavin) and still score in the last minute of added time to nick a sensational win that was much needed.

The Old Arsenal would have been a beaten side at 2-0 down on Wednesday night and would have lost faith today against a resolute (and impressive) Wolves side. Their captain would be in tears and then the rest of the squad would lose faith in the entire season.

Now we have a proper side who can grind out results and we have a captain who's willing to play against his first love with a half-broken leg and still went on with a completly broken leg.

Now I'm confident we can compete against big teams.

Now we can hope for a trophy without kidding ouselves...

Fuck me, all that and I havn't even mentioned Sol Campbell...

    • No doubt this team has more fight in its belly than the 2007-8 team which was so close to winning the league. However with judicious bolstering during the summer in areas of obvious weakness we may get better next time round. But we have been saying this at the end of every season and I fear we may end up becoming the new Liverpool! Let us hope we do not sell any key player and sign one good player at least.
