    Simon Kjaer and Cana

Kjaer has just moved to Wolfsburg for a fee of £12m and Cana to Galataseray for £5m. Why the hell didnt wenger try and buy these players, Cana already a experience Prem player and experienced CDM which Wenger previously tried to buy. kjaer has got all the right mix to be a top CB better than Laurent. WHy oh why does Wenger keeping missing these obvious deals!

    • It is clear, obviously AW does not rate them. Considering Kjaer moved to germany rather then england suggests that no 'big' teams were interested. I trust AW signings, so i trust him with this decision

    • Yes they may not be the heavyweights of europe but they are very big clubs, wolfsburg have done very well in winning the bundesliga and qualifying for europe albeit the perforamnce was poor there, they do have a good manager in Mclaren and galatasaray consistently enter the champions league which again was the reason he wanted to move.

kjaer and cana was highly sort after by many european clubs even arsenal at one point, so are you saying that wenger doesnt know what players are good???

Also with the right team, environment, manager players can develop! Look at flectcher and drogba they were absolute shite at first but now would walk into most first teams in europe.

I was saying the complete opposite. And if he doesn't want these two, clearly they can't be as good as the press have made them out to be. The fact that they've gone to the clubs they've gone to shows Wenger isn't alone. Otherwise they'd be at Chelsea and Real, no?

    • If they're so good why are they going to Wolfsburg and Galatasaray, those clubs are hardly European heavyweights. Clearly, none of the top clubs rate them highly enough.
