    Nasri- Replacement

Looking at the BBC website today, they seem convinced Nasri is about to sign for around 25 mill.

Just wondering who we should replace him with...

Personally I think Arsene should go for a cash+ player swap deal. I think Milner would be a great addition. But obviously the wage demands are an issue here...

Otherwise Arsene is probably going to stash the cash or buy some unknown with no premier league experience.

    Thoughts?

    • Wages are the last issue with Milner. Why would they even consider selling him to us in the first place?

Nasri played wide for us and us such I don't think we'll get a direct replacement for him.

Replacing Cesc is a much more pressing concern.

    • Arsen WILL STASH the cash he is to fu&%*ing scared to spend money

    • I've monitored the 'who's going and who should be coming' debate on here. It's fairly obvious to see the basics of where we need to strengthen. Cesc and Nasri have gone, amen. AW has brought in some youth in various positions, fine, Gervinho too, fine. we know we're weak at the back, holding midfield, also a goalscorer/support for RVP.

AW tells us we have the cash, and I'm certain he is trying to get hold of older players with EPL experience (cahill, samba etc etc)

We have seen from the two games this season that what we have is not good enough. the papers see it, SKY pundits see it, Patrick Vierra see's it, people on here see it, it's obvious. If AW does not sign at least three quality proven players then we will not finish top 4, we will struggle all season, and the pressure on him to go will be huge.

If our current top 11 played week in week out we'd be OK but we all know that to be serious contenders we need strength in depth in all positions, and currently we're short. lets hope the next week or so brings good news because surely AW can see that if this window closes and all he adds is a 17 year old from Auxerre then we're screwed.

    • To me Gervinho is Nasri's replacement. We need to replace Cesc, Gael and get rid of Squil and replace him with Cahill, Samba, or any quality CDer. In addition we need Scott Parker or an other experienced midfield player who can also fill in for Song who is not only going away for ACN but also seems to have stalled in is progress and might have a brain male function.
