Arsenal is NOT a one-man Team!

Isn’t it funny how when things are suddenly starting to shape out well for us, the press and some of our own fans think we are now a one man team? What the hell does that even mean?? Messi scores goals for fun for Barcelona, yet they are not labelled a one man team are they?? And the same for Ronaldo; shit load of goals for manure and now for Madrid again. These teams are not labelled a one man team so why is it that when RVP, who is the best form his life and probably the best striker in world football at the moment is also scoring for fun, why are we labelled a one man team??

To be honest, I’m not sure what term means anyway. Because if there were such a thing, Messi, Ronaldo and RVP would surely be sent out by their respective managers and told to go and do the business on their own wouldn’t they?? This term has been thrown around for far too long in our direction. When we had Henry playing for us, we were a one man team, and then the same with Fabregas. I think it is bloody annoying and disrespectful to the other players who are working so hard to turn things around for us. And let’s face it, we are in a good run of form but that is not down to one player, there is a whole squad that is pulling together and if you don’t have that you have nothing. Granted we have a stand out player who gets all the limelight but as I have mentioned, so do other sides.

RVP is world class and I’m not going to deny if he got injured we would miss him. But we as a club have to find someone else to take his place. It’s been the same for us when even this season Wilshere got injured and Ramsey has stepped into the role and when TV5 was injured Kos stepped up. Now, I know there will be a lot of people who might not agree with me and that’s fine. But the point is, we are not a one man team, no more than Barcelona or Madrid or any other team that has a stand out player. It does require 10 others to help doesn’t it?
