We need to add a midfielder

With Rosicky out for up to 2 months and with Wilshire continuing his odd and long spell on the sideline it becomes ever more clear that we need a quality creative central midfield player.

Most of our central options are injury prone (Rosicky, Diaby, Arteta, Wilshire) and not exactly top drawer. Do we really want to gamble our season on this lot?

Ramsey looked light last season which leaves Song as our best and as the only player that has not shown an ability to get either injured often or for long spells or both.

In my view we need a creative midfield player to supply Podolski and Giroud or who ever will play the front line.

If we don't sign a central midfield player we might have to move Ox to the middle but I don't think he has the experience for that, and we don't want to over use him either. He might turn into an other Wilshire if we play him to much early on.

    • I saw a clip today (I am going to try and re-find it now) that said that Wenger has increased the offer for Corzola because he will not meet Walcott's wage demand and that he still wants to sign M'Vila on the basis that Diaby may not be a viable long term premiership player due to the level of games they play and his propensity to suffer stress injuries.

We will have to wait and see I guess.

    • Injuries have always been Arsenal's achillies heel and even though bringing in more midfielders seems crazy I tend to agree that in a modern game the top clubs have the best midfielders and in depth too!

Spain and Barca don't even bother with forwards half the time just attacking midfielders.

at least 1 more in the middle of the park and another fullback would set us up nicely but they would have to be quality or don't bother as we have average players as it is.
