Lyon's Clément Grenier hints at Arsenal move

Arsenal look to have a midfielder in the bag for next season after Lyon's Clément Grenier suggested that his future has been resolved. The 22-year-old, linked with a series of clubs including Juventus and Liverpool, told French television: "I have made a decision about which club I will join this summer based on sporting reasons above all. Is it Arsenal? It could be."

The French midfielder added: "There would be competition for places there but you get that at all big clubs and it does not put me off. I am still young but I have set myself targets and I will do everything possible to exceed them."

    • Hes a RW/RMF/AMF. We need proper competition for Walcott absolutely but have to say the positions we REALLY NEED to strengthen are not right and central attack. Plus hes more of a "promising player" than the finished or almost finished article, and we do need that also. Happy if we get him but classic Wenger buying attacking midfield types rather than defensive leaders and/or top class strikers. Lucky i have plenty patience

    • I've only seen him once against the Spuds. He looks like a decent player then and has something we lacked in abundance in our squad which is the uncanny ability to harry to the opposition. I think this will be a good signing for us if it happens.
