Spurs way ahead of us now?

With Spurs singing Willian and Lamela one would have to conclude that their squad is now considerably deeper in talent than ours. This is worrying. And how is it that Spurs who don't even play CL football manage to be so effective in signing good players whilst we can't even sign Cesar from a Championship side?

All the advantage in momentum we might have had coming out of last season is now lost. 4th would yet again be a miracle and miracles don't happen that often if you keep counting on them.

Our situation becomes more depressing with each passing day.

    • "With Spurs singing Willian and Lamela " ???

I saw what you did above, Govinda, very clever... not.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched, son.

    • Spot on Gov. Spurs new signings would show that they really mean business, unlike us they have showed they are willing to put their money where their mouth was, so to speak.

We have played chicken with 4th/5th place for too long now, eventually your luck will run out. Wenger is well out of his depth in the transfers market, this has been confirmed for lord knows how many summers, the nails are now firmly in our coffin. Spurs smelled blood and one look at their midfield now runs a shiver through my spine. Paulinho, Sandro, Willian, Lemala to name but a few. We can barely put a team out.

Like the well respected Gary Neville said, ‘There is no single player to answer Arsenal’s problems. They need a big shop,’ was Neville’s view.

‘There’s only one section of people overspending at Arsenal — the supporters,’ added Carragher.

People just dont learn until its too late.

    • Don't be ridiculous, Govinda. You've predicted that Spurs will finish above Arsenal for lord knows how long now. Isn't it time you learn something, Gov?
