United - Nothing to be hopeful about.....

"The match was played at Old Trafford, yet the home side's slender one-goal lead could easily have been wiped out in the second half with the Gunners going close a number of times.
United were certainly not the superior side, and there must be a doubt about their ability to sustained a challenge, looking at their fixture list. Three more games away, against the top three or four, plus S'hampton, will surely put paid to the full points they will need to stay in the hunt. Even Tottenham are a far better choice for CL qualifying next season, than United. Looking at the black and white of reality, and not the rose tinted glasses of United supporters, based on a loose win, against a side that had four main men out, plus two more in Mertsecker and Rosicky, at the last moment, whereby Wenger had to quickly reshuffle, is nothing to be shouting about,. As for Van Persie, the measure of the mans decency, & respect for a team that cared for him, for so long injured, can be measured in his celebration at scoring against the afore mentioned. That was simply callous and uncalled for, as far as Arsene Wenger in concerned. I for one do not wish the man any harm, but should fate take a hand then perhaps, we might say, he had it coming. And I cannot see Wayne Rooney being bothered by such, either.

    • OK, let's try to decipher this pathetic mish-mash of tear jerking excuses.

The first part starts with a quotation mark, but is so obviously not a quote that it's hilarious to think this fool could imagine we wouldn't notice.

But let's get to the really hilarious part, the part that shows this fool knows nothing about Arsenal, as well as knowing nothing about football.

"against a side that had four main men out, plus two more in Mertsecker and Rosicky"

So Arsenal had SIX "main men" missing, please, indulge us, and name the full team you would have fielded, including those SIX.

Just in case you weren't aware, these are the players in Sunday's squad, minus the SIX.

      W Szczesny
      B. Sagna
      L. Koscielny
      T. Vermaelen
      K. Gibbs
      M. Flamini
      J. Wilshere
      M. Arteta
      A. Ramsey
      M. Özil
      S. Cazorla
      O. Giroud
      N. Bendtner
      L. Fabianski
      N. Monreal
      C. Jenkinson
      S. Gnabry
      I. Hayden

"As for Van Persie, the measure of the mans decency, & respect for a team that cared for him, for so long injured, can be measured in his celebration at scoring"

The Arsenal supporters were BOOING him!

Do you live on a hill. Baldrick/Dodge? It just seems apt, "The Fool On The Hill."

    • in fact farcenal did everything except score more goals!

      • While I will concede that Mesut Ozil has played pretty badly for a few weeks and against United he was even more anonymous. Despite that, Wayne Rooney was a worse No. 10.
He ran around a lot, and he made a lot of tackles; besides sending in a corner for Robin Pri..ck Persie, he did absolutely nothing else that you would want from a forward. His passing was atrocious and his first touch was that of a man who had not only never played football before, but also hadn’t yet grasped the concept of physics.
He scored no goals and lost the ball in the final third, gifting Arsenal a number of turnovers. In a word, he was sh..t, and so were United. Carrick was even worse, and some United players like Vidic, look about ready for the knackers yard. I know the truth hurts sometimes, but you've really got to stop blaming Moyes. Its not his team or tactics they are employing. Its still Ferguson's game. And until you wake up to that, its going to be a horror season for you.
Cheer up! All is lost, but there's always next season......... and in case you think I'm pmsl, you're wrong. Because I just filled my pants laughing so much thinking about Red Monkeys and not Devils, I've got to go and change.
