    Rangers:Confidence Building

Great result against Hapoel and another forward step in re-building the 'Gers confidence. Slowly but surely, Walter Smith is dragging Rangers out of the abyss in the same way he done with Scotland. We are certainly not there yet and it will be next year at least before we can truly say "we have returned". Solidifying second place and strong games and returns against Celtic and Osasuna in the next few weeks will help speed the healing. My picks, for what they're worth, to go through to the UEFA quarters are Newcastle, Espanyol, Tottenham, Seville, and PSG. The games between Lens/Leverkusen and Werder Bremen/Celta Vigo could go either way as could Rangers tie against Osasuna, though, naturally, I will be expecting the Teddy Bears to put the blocks to a Spanish treble. Any other thoughts out there? Please be objective not objectionable.
