Time to Turn Back the Clock

After recent news reports regarding the Old Firm I think we should scrap the SPL and give the fans the previous set as it is quite clear this set up is detremental to the whole of Scottish Football clubs,
Firstly we should start our progamme in first week in July with the League Cup played in sections, there should be a mix of clubs from the various leagues lets say Rangers,Raith Rovers,Brechin and Ross County, these clubs would play home and away Saturdays and mid week Tuesday and Wednesday, with the top two progressing to a last 16,the finiance created by bigger clubs playing clubs in lower leagues would help these clubs money wise and give our clubs a chance to see what younger players can do thus saving transfer moneys, being the Summer it would get supporters travelling to fixtures which do not excist at present.Secondly lets go to a 18 team set up of two Divisions thats 34 games 3 teams down 3 teams up no fancy play offs although that might be a good thing.Imagine 18 Scottish left backs to choose from and 18 centre forwards the International team would benifit if these players can do the step up from club football, this may sound crazy but unless they do somethin quick its lights out for football in Scotland and hello dominoes.Thirdly one National body for all league and cup football and Internationals run by club officials for the benifit of all,
