    • you should check out the post race interview..he's is more likely to become an air head than fernando..before i really dont like fernando bcoz of the ways he answers the question thrown to him..but after four races and the way Hamilton talks,i dont think he can ever be like the ideal example of a champion..i like fernando now,he's a little humble than before..and well, lets see on the monaco,as far as i can remember,no rookie ever won the monaco grand prix,,,,,...:)

    • he is clean racer and a good starter...bruce would be proud...
lewis is just getting started...lets go!

    • nothing against lewis just all the hype that hes attracting.
put anyone one in a top tier team and theyll make the same results. want to see what sort of rookie he is let him drive a lower ranked car and then compare him to the top drivers of todays rookie seasons.
hmmmmmmm im getting sick of hearing how good this guy is, when it is clear that the car is the biggest factor into his success.

    • Could not agree more with AmeliaRugby. Great driving and less talk is what counts. Hamilton may have a great car, and a team mate in Alonso who's now on the verge of crying and throwing away playtoys, but little did we all know that what may have contributed to this 'coming' of Hamilton is the 'departure' in the paddock of cutting-edge technology that went with V10 and V12 engines and the election of F1A to use underpowered units in a supposedly topmost body for motor racing. Hamilton raced and excelled in this category of economy racing already, did he not? So this is not new to him. Has he tried a V10 or V12 powered F1 car? Its a pity that in order to save money, we racing enthusiast are not getting the best from Formula 1.

      • Regarding the notion that Lewis Hamilton has emerged as a great talent only due to the decrease in the cylinders of an F1 car, I'd like to say that the cars are MUCH faster today than the days of V10 and V12 engines.

So, that being the case shows that Hamilton would have been even more of a great rookie than many who came before him in the 80s and 90s, it is obvious as the cars are now 5 - 10 seconds quicker per lap with V8 engines than they were with V10 and V12 engines.

We are in the era of the fastest ever F1 cars to be built.

    • Stop this crap. That's only 3 races. We can never know his "greatness', if ever there there will be, until the end his career. I mean, history will judge him.

who started this 'hoopla' on hamilton? It was the sports media from his nation. They like to brag and force unto us that he can be 'one of the the greatest'. They cannot find more interesting sports news that they regard the three podium finishes of hamilton as extraordinary.

      come on.

      • Hamilton's incredible move around the outside on the first corner of his first GP convinced me that here was someone very special and potentially one of the all time greats.

He may be an F1 rookie but he was doing amazing things in GP2 last year and he has just carried on where he left off.

Anyway we're in for a great season with several top drivers in the mix for the championship and at least 3 teams with competitive cars. Let's rejoice at that and not harp back to the Schumi era where one driver was too dominant and the races were often boring.

      • I remember a LOT of praise being bestowed to a certain Audley Harrison once after his olympic exploits. Look how he turned out a complete bum. Now Hamilton, of course, is much more skilled at his sport than the said bum, but as you mentioned the British media sure do like talking up young talent as world beaters BEFORE they've actually achieved that status for real. Think Andy Murray in tennis.

    • Everyone is riding on the bandwagon of hamilton, c'mon guys its still early in the season and a lot of races to come, lets wait and see if he delivers. Kimi is the man, watch him during his mclaren days on how he drove his car, the only thing is mclaren was not able to give him a car that is quick and reliable. Now he shares 3 podium finishes with hamilton, but in the end experience will prevail. This would be an exciting season as BMW is the dark horse and honda and toyota end up as fools gold. Its still a long season and many things will happen.
