Alonso was just getting Hamilton back

    Yahoo F1 news reads

''Dennis had said Hamilton was to blame for failing to obey repeated team instructions to let Alonso go past earlier in the session at a stage when drivers were burning off excess fuel.

"They were out of sequence because Lewis should have slowed and let Fernando past and he didn't. He charged off," said Dennis.''

    • At the end of the day they all wear a Mclaren race suit and get vast sums of cash for it.

It is Lewis' rookie season and he is the second driver, had alonso forced a pass during Q3 they may have ruined both of their chances.

They both have to try and beat each other fairly

      • As far as I understand it (from Ron Dennis's own mouth) there is no number 1 and 2 driver, they are equal and McLaren has always said their drivers are allowed to race one another as long as they don't take one another off the track and until one of them has more chance of winning the championship than the other.
I read that Hamilton said if he had let Alonso pass it would have let Kimi through too, but I agree with you if Alonso had forced his way passed it could have ruined both their chances. Alonso was silly to do what he did in the pits, acting like a pratt, he messed himself up and caused more trouble for the team, he should have sorted it out in private and let the team deal with it. Hamilton is definately getting to him, he thinks because he is double world champion he should get special treatment, he should grow up and put his energies into beating Hamilton fair and square.

    • I read that Hamilton & Dennis exchanged heated words on the radio for disobeying team orders - saying the F-word to his Team Manager?! Rookies/newbies like these are spoiled brats and should not be left unpunished even if he won that race. They think they are gods, they can do whatever they like.

Ron should suspend Lewis even just for 1 race to cool things off & teach him a lesson about team orders. I pity for Alonso - being a double world champion, the team had lost repect to him because the rookie was able to deliver better. Bad idea to have 2 competitive drivers in a team.

      • i would of sworn at him too. There is respect between both of lewis and ron but when your sat there with the adrenaline running your focus is set i think anyone would do the same.Alonso is the spoilt brat he was spoilt so much by flavio that he expects it wherever he is and when he comes across someone like ron who i must admit is so much clooser to his rookie alonso will feel out of place but hes doing nothing or has done nothing to build a good friendship with his boss.He shoudl go back to flavio like the reports say and go back to his dream land.

    • Is this the early part of Q3? When Hamilton drove off and Alonso stayed behind holding up Raikkonen, driving over a second a lap slower than Hamilton???

    • yes he was just getting hamilton back what a child
