Are Players in the Premier League Paid too much?

everyone is saying they are paid to much but if you look back was it johnny haynes in1961 who was the first £100 a week player and that was megabucks then ,the prime factor in players wages is television and the popularity of football, the price of a match ticket today is to much for most fans when you take into account progammes ,food and travel plus if you have kids ,so the best option is sky/setanta and i think the money offered was £1 billion for the rights to screen the games,so the best clubs get the best cut=the power to offer the best wages for the best players,so we are all to blame for the wages.but for a politician to say it is too much is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black when you take into account how much they claim for expenses and what everelse they can get.
