MIchael Owen - SIGN FOR NEWCASTLE

Come on Michael, you are fondly remembered in Liverpool but can you ever really go back once you have left? Sign for Newcastle. It is only the start of the season and you would get a game week in week out.

    GO FOR IT SON!!!

None of Liverpools current (incl. Baros) strike force can touch these numbers, even during Owen's supposedly 'bad' last season........with the exception of Morientes' spell at Monaco, and Cisse at Auxerre for the previous 2 seasons - which makes you wonder whether the french league is really a good assessment of goalscoring prowess. Owen was and is a consistent goal 'threat' at the very least, and thats more than anyone else I've seen this season or last. I think its a great pity we didn't take him back, and I believe it shows the difference between a team looking forward and a team looking back......we NEED to be the former; we've been the latter now for too long. Signing a PROVEN goalscorer from Madrid would be a step forward, regardless of past history.
