Rafa vs Paisley Shanks - Who is the best,? DISCUSS

Rafa - 2 Spanish titles, 1 UEFA Cup, 1 European Cup, 1 FA Cup, another European Cup final which we have a good chance, and also from next season similar spending power to Chelsea and Man U

PaisleyShanks - a load of bullshit!

I must say, I think I will go with Rafa for the future of our club. Even if I had doubts, then I do trust Carragher and Gerrard. After all, Stevie turned down Chelsea twice because Rafa was manager. Maybe Paisley thinks that they are a couple of dickheads who don't know their football!

    • Should do Kipper it's a fascinating read.

    • Thanks Anthops hope he listens to you because I am getting nowhere with him.

    • First off you need to read Robbies autobiography,he left Liverpool due to a training ground spat with Thompson, he got forced out, and its not just him saying it, its in Gerrards autobiography as well, hes the best finisher at the club, and lots of the players like having him around and playing with him, you watch an excellent ENGLISH striker in training and you learn from him,on the pitch this season i think hes scored 7 times, with hardlly any starts, and when he has started Rafa hasnt put a full team out, but he gets on with it. Robbie has had a great time at Liverpool over his 2 spells, injury has been a big part of it,which is sad, but thats football, hes scored some top class goals, i couldnt pick, some of them have been excellent. In football managers get rid of players because they dont like them (fact), when he went he was still sharp, fit, able to score goals, and able to do a full 90 mins on the pitch, but Houllier sold him, and who did he bring in Diouf who wore number 9, that to me was a disgrace, that to me is a player who didnt and dosent try harder enough, hes a player whos here for the money, so theirs no way on earth Robbie has wasted the last few years in the game, by not trying harder enough, and as for the England comment injury played a big part, along with crap managers who were in charge, Hoddle and Sven.

I just hope he scores a hat trick on Sunday and forces his way in to the European Cup Final, scores the winner in Athens and gets the medal a player of Robbies calibre deserves

Good Luck Robbie, and thanks for all those goals over the years,if it was me i would sign you again and give you a fair crack at the whip.

    • I'll stic it on my Xmas list

    • And why did Fowler leave? Was it 2 get first team football or was he sold against his wishes? And no,i have not read his Autobiography.

    • Robbie came back to Liverpool out of shape and ravaged by injuries, but he worked hard and scored 12 goals in 38 apperances better than any record the rest of our strikers have, he was still as good but he was only there in case of injuries.
The only reason he left was because Houllier did'nt want him.
I would rather have an unfit Robbie than a fully fit owen, as I know which one would give their all for liverpool.
And players like that are two and far between.
Not totally disagreeing with what your saying but you should show him respect read his autobiography first before you make assumptions.

    • You were once the best.Any club in the world would have loved to have you. Then Owen became the first choice and you threw your toys out of the pram.Instead of fighting for your place to prove you r still No1,thus playing alongside Owen, you r a troublesome squad member who sulks bcus your mentality isn't to work hard 4 ur place. You move to Leeds and others bcus you think you will be the big fish again. If Liverpool was in your blood you would have tried not to waste your talent with a poor attitude. The mark of a TRULY great player is how they cope when they need to push themselves and show the boss he has to be picked. You are only 32 but have coasted the last couple of years relying on your past reputation to fool clubs into thinking you might put the effort in and come good again. If you were 36 i could understand it but you have played like an old worn out player for the last few seasons.Robbie, you were great but threw it away. You could have been a legend like Rushie but in the end you were good but not great...not for long enough anyway. The talent was awesome, your attitude too poor.

      • What fucking planet are you from son, Robbie Fowler loved his club and his fans loved and will always love him.
He always wore the red shirt with pride and played with passion and commitment that has been an inspiration to many a young player.
        Robbie is GOD!
        Always have....
        Always will be.
He had only ever wanted to play for Liverpool and you could tell that by the way he played.
