    should we let kewel go?

I don't believe Kewell will recapture Leeds form even if we give him another season. He is getting old and like Owen, all people hold on to are the memories of what he once was capable of doing. What we need is someone who can come in a slot into that left wing position and deliver. Granted there is no guarantee that Silva or anybody can do that immediately. But if we are to challenge the top two then we have to stop being sentimental. The debate should be on who we should be getting for that left wing position. I would go for Morten Gamst Pederson from Blackbun. At least he is tried in the EPL.

      • If there's one thing that I like about Benitez is that he knows what he wants. We had loads of "promising" players coming to Anfield only for them not to make the grade. Rafa disposed of them after one season, unlike Houllier. In today's modern fast game, there's no room for sentimentalism or memories. As Liverpool supporters, the only memories we need are that once we were the biggest team in England (and we still are)and that we need to bring the glory days back. In order to do that, we need to act fast and be ruthless. This is Rafa's year, he'll have to make the grade himself now or else..............
