Welcome to the Board of the MOST Successful Club

    Yep, that's right.

18 league titles, 5 European Crowns, 7 FA Cups to name but the cream of the crop.

Phil Neal - 8 league title medals and 4 European Cup medals during his illustrious LFC career. And he only needed 11 years to achieve it. Eat that Ryan Giggs, with your 9 (at the moment) and 1, in what - 15 years?

    • Howlfc that is Kato Martin my Japanese Akita.

    • like you said clucker, you don't abuse anyone!

    • Great Post!!!

Remind those haters why they hate us...

      LFC Forever!

    • water under the bridge, lad, in fact the rivers already dried up and there's no benefit to be gained by raking up the mud (you might end up disturbing iceman's long lost mum). If you look at the thread, everyone agrees with my opinion anyway, but as I say, water under the bridge.....

    • Hahaha! So you never gave me abuse eh? Now we're in denial....

This thread is one of my personal favourites, especially the crappy rubbers analogy you came up with. You conveniently forgot that as a club we are trying to compete in both 'markets' at the same time (ie Europe and at home) - not in just one. So while looking at performance in the two separately might hold some merit, as a club overall, we need to look at the complete picture. That's not blinkered.

I've lost count of the number of times you've answered a direct question with something irrelevant.

      Now come on, quit dodging.

You thought I was a Sean alter-ego, you've been proven wrong. Admit it and I'll let it go and move on.

    • Is your disillusionment with the present adequately compensated for by constant citing of past achievements? On past achievement Nottingham Forest are a bigger club than Chelsea or Arsenal in Europe (2 European Cups).

You will start to sound like the England fans soon, banging on about winning the World Cup in 1966. Who cares? You haven't won the League for 18 years, and until that is remedied your past achievements are scant consolation for your current malaise.

So you have a lot of antique silverware in your trophy cabinet. So do Preston. The present is what matters, and the harsh truth is that you have ended the season with nothing again, except CL qualification. Not great is it? I accept that United or Chelsea could end the season with nothing, but we will have to wait and see about that.

    • I've got nothing but respect for Giggs and his achievements. A model professional, a pure footballer with integrity.

This was hardly at attack on him FFS. You don't have the background on the reasons for this thread, so I'll dismiss your attack on me as just not having all the facts.

    • I think Giggs, along with the likes of Keane and Hughes - gets the respect from the majority of footie fans for their achievements...
The only thing with Giggs was that it was a shame he never really got tested at international level.. like Best..

    • Any ABU who attacks Giggs is being very harsh, very harsh indeed, but an Aussie ABU is as bad as a Yank Slayer.

Ryan Giggs has been at the top of the game through out his career, at a club who have introduced so many World Class Players but Ryan was still at the top, for years the Italians sniffed around after him, to no avail.

Alessandro Del Piero has said of Giggs: "This is embarrassing to say but I have cried twice in my life watching a football player; the first one was Roberto Baggio and the second was Ryan Giggs"

Brazil coach Dunga paid Giggs the ultimate compliment by stating he would not look out of place playing for the five-time world champions alongside stars such as Kaká and Ronaldinho.

His only red card came in 2001 in an international match against Norway which Wales lost.

Ryan has been a model pro, on and off the field, but some Aussie seems to think different.
I have had the pleasure to know Ryan and apart from his dad he does not have a bad word to say about anyone.

Ps The Term ABU mr President says by deffinition you dislike United more than you love your own club, where I on the other hand will be RED Till I Am Dead.
